hell pls i scored 242 in jamb and put in for Economics. Pls what re my chances and also i ve this 5 grades in Mathematics(B2),English(C4),Economics(C5),Commerce(A1),Agric(C4) what re my chances with jmb 242 and Agric with those combination. There was a problem with my registration i did Goverment but was not registered. Although i am trying to apply for public waec.

I wish U the best. Ife is a good university to attend I must confess however, I will suggest you prepare hard for your post UME exams and pray well. Sincerely, there is a little flaw with admission processing in Ife I must confess. Most times, merit alone does not work for the good courses as few people will be chosen via this merit. As such, I will suggest you keep praying because it is very furstrating where you score just a few marks below the cut off point and you are not considered for any course while someone who had 200 and knows the right person gets admitted. But I know with prayers and hardwork God will see you through.

The school has so much opportunity for personal growth and development in all areas of life. If U enter as an empty person, there is so much opportunity to become an expert in your field of academic and future pursuit. It is a very tough training ground and please take the opportunity to learn from your days in Angola/Mozambique till your final days from the days of living in a room meant for 4 and converted to 12 by school authorities but having 24 occupants as a result of squatters.

It helps you learn how to appreciate individual differences. So many computer programmes to make you a whiz kid in the IT world. A lot of press clubs to make you a good writer, political associations to develop you politically, junior law chambers to make you a sound lawyer before you graduate, enough art associations to train you as well. Religiously, its a place to grow. But please be mindful as there are too many religious/ film shows to distract you if care is not taken.

However, I will suggest you guys also attempt to enter the pre - degree programme should you miss the admission and you could also use it as a lender of last resort as it is a very sure way in recent times once you score an aggregate of 60 at the end of the programme.
