It doesnt need the modem to be connected before you get your code. Type in your IMEI number, check the body of your device. and calculate.

@ shilohboy, i got a glo modem huawei E160, it just not detecting any network at all.
i have unlocked it, but its not picking any signal. . .

what do u think, is there sumtin i missing or i just have to flash it? i have looked thru the whole gamut of settings anyway so thats not the issue!!

@4llerbuntu: I think Glo modems are very stubborn. I dunno if flashing will solve that problem. Why you go buy Glo sef?
