Why are some of you so fixated on Buhari? There was boko haram and killer herdsmen before Buhari became president and if Buhari should go today that will not be the end of the killings in different parts of Nigeria. Try and look at the bigger picture.

Don't mind them, they foolishly assume the enmity they sewed into the hearts of Nigerians would automatically disappear along with Buhari whenever he eventually goes - very myopic ppl.

They aren't fixated on Buhari. They simply hate the man. It doesn't matter what he does or not.

Same way you thought and claimed Jonathan was the problem with all Nigeria and with him gone and superman elected Nigeria will become paradise.... same thing.
What was I telling folks like you before the elections. Seek my back posts.

Who said he should leave the situation as it is? Can you even read? Morons like you inject Buhari into every topic even if the topic has nothing to do with politics. You cry and wail over Buhari on every subject.
How is Kanu different from the herdsmen is the question here, both his iporks and the killer herdsmen are driven by hate. Olodo.

It is not funny. It is tragic that Nigeria doesn't have a functional political system that will have voided these tragedies. But the government brought this upon themselves by doing everything to destroy political opposition. Talk about shooting itself in the foot. Because political power cannot exist in a vacuum and where there is no external political threat, one will be generated from within the ruling party fracturing it in the process. If the PDP and other parties remained viable it will have coalesced and solidified the APC because they will have a common threat. No external pressure means explosion. Take a baloon to space. That is real politics lost on ignorant Nigerians.

Yes,we know. It was there before Buhari came. GEJ did not take it cool with herdsmen attackers. If you recall elections was shifted 2wks because of herdsmen and the situation was handle well with farmers and villages in their homes.
Now what is happening? The amry protecting killer herders. It is only when you are attack that you will know what is happening today.

GEJ? He lost the election mainly because of his inability to contain boko haram and other sectional killings. He was completely ineffective. His wife openly denied there was any school girls abduction. Not to mention monumental corruption. Where were you then and other newly acerbic critics of Buhari? They were completely mute under Jonathan.

Danjuma has made it clear. When you hv a govt that keep mute on killings, what do u expect?
Herders group hv accepted responsibility for numerous attack, what did the govt do?
People are being killed till now, what is the govt doing?
Look something should be done and people should not just sit and a tribe comes in and kill them. Since the govt cannot defend us we need to defend ourselves,period..

Danjuma didn't say anything new. Many of us have opined same even on this forum. What surprises is why speak out so late.

Considering the patterns and the failure if bringing to justice the perpetrators only a fool still believes the security operatives aren't complicit in the killings by Fulani militia terrorist herdsmen and not defend himself.

my brother I quite agree with you..I watched a T.V.C programme today and was astonished at the avalanche of cricticims on the general I marvel. This goes svlong way to show that Nigeria is a country of hypocrites..Many accuse him of inciting Nigerians against Nigerians, in fact i don't know what else. to say,we are such a wonderful nation.

Did he not promise to fix these issues? What bigger picture is there to look at with violence and bloodshed dotting the entire landscape? Why are the issues escalating rather than reducing? Should he not be working towards a lasting legacy of putting an end to these issues? Is that not part of the insecurity he based his campaign on as coming to address? Why should he be given a pass when he has clearly failed? Then buck stops at his damned table!

Westerners apt in the democracy game had said it. Better strong institutions than strong men. Today the strong man plays aloof on all negative matters of state while killing off the last vestages of nationalism and national institutions, all of which are firmly politicised and tribalised.

No comparison at all.
Jonathan inherited a country on sound footing; with external reserves at about $60B, an unprecedented earnings potential (not enjoyed by any head of govt to date) through sale of crude oil averaging above $100/barrel - unfortunately what did he do with that opportunity?
He squandered everything, he did not save anything against a rainy day, instead he endorsed open corruption to a level never seen before, with his famous "Stealing is not Corruption;" he was also ethnically divisive with his famous "Igbos are pillars my administration," allowing his wife and kin from the ND e.g. Asari Dokubu to openly insult northerners and northern elders, he did nothing until too late as Igbo states profiled and arrested thousands of innocent northerners in detention camps as Boko Haram suspect; he was also vert petty and openly witch hunted political foes e.g Amaechi, Kwankwaso etc. by withdrawing their official security details as sitting governors, access to air travel, official residence; disruption of their private meetings, interfering with election of chairman of the governor's forum; he was criminally terrible with security as he mismanaged the Jos crisis and allowed Boko Haram to grow beyond expectation, under him mass territories were captured, army posts overtaken, many soldiers deserted or mutinied, leaving thousand and thousands in the N.E. unduly exposed and defenceless to be killed, maimed and raped, while many families were separated and scattered in several IDP camps, meanwhile he was shamelessly defending his sympathetic attitude for not taking the war to Boko Haram by calling them his SIBLINGS; at the same time he and his service chiefs were diverting billions of dollars meant for the war into their pockets and towards his failed re- election.

Buhari on the other hand Buhari inherited an already bankrupt country with: foreign reserves as low as $24B, oil price crashing below $30/barrel, an importation based economy with a citizenry already spoilt on importation of food and unnecessary luxury goods, endemic corruption at every level and the economy already poised to go into recession.

Given the above scenario it is a wonder how any sane person could attribute the current sufferings to Buhari instead of Jonathan's maladministration; I wonder how Buhari could have been responsible for the crash in international oil prices along with the attendant consequences of our mono- product dependant economy: such as the fall of the Naira against the Dollar and consequential inflation resulting in the rise in the cost of goods and services, including food?
Many ppl simply have short term memories and have easily forgotten how bad Jonathan was.
