Did the report consider that Boko Haram is threatening people living around there more than the shrinking lake. Anyway, the more blood you spill on the land, the less water you will have...you have to make a choice between blood and water. |

Lake Chad’s shrinkage has increased in recent decades probably due to population growth in the adjacent countries. Nowadays, more than 30 million people surrounding at least partially depend on the lake for potable and irrigable water. |
