Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus scored the only goal as five-time World Cup winners Brazil put their rivals on notice that they are once more coming for their crown this summer, with a 1-0 win over reigning world champions Brazil.

Four years on from the 7-1 thumping in the Mineirão, the Selecao gained a small modicum of revenge at the the Olympiastadion.

Having charged through South American qualification under Tite, Brazil are warming up nicely for this summer's finals, and were deserved winners in Berlin.

Jesus, still only 20, bagged the game's only goal after 37 minutes, powerfully heading home Willian's inch-perfect cross from eight yards; while it was straight at Kevin Trapp, who got a firm hand to it, the Germany stopper couldn't keep it out.

Germany, who made a number of changes from the side that drew with Spain on Friday, huffed and puffed but couldn't create many clear cut opportunities against a solid Brazilian base.

Their best opportunity came late on, when Julian Draxler's 20-yard half-volley was turned away by Alisson, who was largely untroubled for much of the evening.
