It's strange I need to be telling you these things. Aren't you going to a Pentecostal church?Dont they preach about salvation and righteousness in your church? Do they only preach about prosperity, deliverance, victory over human/demonic enemies, without first laying the basic foundation of righteousness and Godliness?

Pls butress this ur point with bible quotation

Mr. Mike Bamiloye has surely seen alot to have made this statement but generalizing is going abit tooooo far.

However, this bro down here just nailed it 100%. Thanks man.

Surprising that this is actually coming from a pastor. Why didnt he also mention the gatemen and security guards outside and those traffic guys who control the church car parks?

The fact is that being an instrumentalist in church is a sacrifice, and just like ushers who stand facing the other direction and cameramen and traffic controllers outside the building, the church worker gets to sacrifice the spiritual benefits he would have gained from being focused to ensure that the rest of the congregants get full benefits. There's no way the church workers can maintain full concentration. This is the reason why most churches have a separate short workers' service before the main service to ensure the workers aren't totally left out.

Pls sister I also heard this same talk about keyboard playing itself from some spiricoco brethren back in the days (they also have the same sentiments abt instrumentalists)... abeg, can you please help us with the name and location of this church. If possible also state the name of the keyboarder.

Precious111:
This is quite true, instrumentalists always behave like anything, they will sleep, chat And browse during sermon. I have only seen two different Scenarios.
Then in Secondary school when one of our teachers came to preach, Mr Ayo he will chase all the instrumentalists into the congregation making them to listen to a particular extent.
And the RCCG Youth church I attend presently, Kings Court Ikere, immediately it's time for the sermon, all instrumentalists leave their instruments, they are regarded as ministers too, no room for yamayama

Likewise Some instrumentalists are spirit filled, playing their instruments always calls for the hand of God. An instrumentalist once played that the spirit of God fell upon him himself but the instruments continued playing itself. The Angels of God took charge of the instruments
Note: the notes that were played weren't recorded, the congregation that day was charged with God's presence.
