eagleeye2: I have no problem with scrapping of quota system that exist with employment. But a federal unity school is by the very purpose of it a quota enabled education system that has been conceived for the sole purpose of bringing diverse Nigerian kids together. Southerners should stop lamenting over their own high admission cut off within their own states, as their competition to get into those schools is limited to candidates of that state alone who are all competing to fill up slots that have been allocated to their state. The Zamfara students are also competing to fill up slots that have been assigned to their own states too, hence the very low marks there as there really is no competition. The rest of the slots OWNED by Zamfara will still end up being redistributed among states who have already filled their OWN allocated slots too. Anyone who is not satisfied or interested with the federal unity schools should apply to the litany of state public schools and private schools that do not enjoy the federal subsidy enjoyed by the federal unity schools, and move on with their lives without the misplaced bitterness exhibited every admission cycle. |

I served in Zamfara state. I think the people of that state are the architect of their own misfortune.Their Government have virtually provided everything that I think can make education easier for them;free food daily, free boarding schools, nice and conducive school environment to learn and others... If I get such incentives while I was schooling enh en.... What else do they want? 1 Like |

How would this country improve against tribalism and religion intolerance with ignorant like you who thought the Quran teaches killing but failing to see where it says killing one innocent person is like killing the whole of humanity.
