Saying for better for better is just the same way people say they are strong instead of saying they are ill when they are actually ill.

Every marriage has good and bad times even if Otedola marries Dantata. There will always be a bridge to cross.

[quote author=SamuelTurner post=66527053]RCCG sunday school now is currently teaching about marriage and divorce. as we were meditating on it today, a man asked a question saying "is for better for worse a correct thing to be used during marital vows or for better for better" he further backed his question with a scripture.

Now my own view is that are they expecting worse condition in the bible or is the normal procedure everybody goes through?[/quote Do you mean to say, for BETTER or WORSE and not for better for worse as we are meant to believe? Think about it.

I strongly believe that it is, For BETTER or WORSE and not for better for worse as it was called during the NTA drama and it is still been called so. Think about it.

type of scenario(s) why penticostal churches left the Mother church the ONE AND HOLY CHURCH OF CHRIST JESUS. CATHOLIC CHURCH. now penticostals said that the death of CHRIST IS ENOUGH FOR OUR SALVATIONS, AND the CATHOLIC CHURCH SAID NO. THATS NOT ENOUGH THAT WE MUST DO GODS' WILL FOR OUR SALVATION TOBE COMPLETE and thats the only thing the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH SAID AND THEY GOT OUT AND FORMED THEIR CHURCHES, THATS HOW PENTICOSTALISM CROPS OUT FROM.

You are confusing a metaphor or figure of speech by trying to interpret it literally.

For better or for worse is akin to through thick and thin

They both mean under all conditions. Think of a pendulum swinging from one extreme to the other. One extreme is the best and the other is the worst. For better or for worse means anything between these two extremes or simply under all possible situations, or your love is not governed by your situation in that it is unconditional.
