Easy Win For Buhari (See Why)

Just this morning, Nigerians rose up to the news of
President Muhammadu Buhari finally agreeing to
contest for the presidential office again in 2019.

And as expected, this decision of the president have
been greeted with various reactions with some saying
the president should have peacefully complete his tenure
and retreat to his hometown in Daura and others on the other hand
saying that this new development is a welcome idea
for the country.

No doubt, indeed president Buhari tenure for the past
two years and some months now have not been too
promiscuous as earlier promised by him(Buhari) in the
last 2015 elections campaign but we believe that
oweing to a typical Nigerian electoral and
electioneering atmosphere, the president may just
have an easy win to complete his second tenure as[b]
The President and Commander in Chief of the armed
forces and police.[/b]

This is why,

Buhari have the population with him
Yes, Buhari have the support of the population with him
irrespective of his failure so far and various social
media sentiment. Though the reason for this can not
be really ascertain but we can somehow point this to the
fact that Buhari have painted himself a saint and a
messiah of Nigeria in the eyes of most Nigerians.
And to confirm this, just simply take a look at the
populations crowding him at various visits of his.

Buhari have the support of the “equipments”
Equipment in this context simply refer to the various
instruments of the state that are usually involved in
the Nigerian electioneering processes e.g the police,
INEC, army e.t.c.

Don’t think Buhari will sit down just like former
president Goodluck Jonathan and watch everything
work against him. Hell no, not especially when he
have officially concluded to be the next president of
Nigeria.

No Formidable Opposition
Another reason why 2019 might be an easy for Buhari
is oweing up to the fact that up till now, there exist no
formidable opposition to “do the defeating” and
please don’t bring in the people’s democratic party
(PDP), a party whose members have been listed as
looters and still having some in-house crises in to
defeat Buhari and his APC. I don’t think that is going
to be possible.

Remember the words of APC in 2015
Immediately after the 2015 elections, the leadership
of the All Progressive Congress (APC) made a
statement that since PDP ruled for 16years, they are
not leaving until they complete 16-36years in power.
So it is somehow surprising to see someone believe
that they will be ousted out of office.

In conclusion, Buhari have finally agreed to run for
2019 and we believe this is going to be a win for him
once his party’s ticketship is handed over to him
because politically speaking in a Nigerian political
system, he have got all the advantages it takes to be
the next president of Nigeria.
