Ekiti state governor Ayo Fayose has condemn the incident @ the upper chamber today; according to the statement on his twitter page, fayose say's "Shamefully embarrassing that for the first time since 1999, the National Assembly was invaded by thugs and the Senate Symbol of Authority taken away. Only thugs with Presidential backing could have carried out that treasonable act & those involved must be treated like coupists."

Ofcourse we all watched with shame as the Nigerian police and DSS assigned to NASS stood unconcerned and folded their arms allowing Thugs to drive out of the complex with the mace just like that ..it was clearly a brazen attempt by the pro Buhari cabal aimed at derailing our democracy and replacing it with a form of socialist caliphacy

Anything thing bad seems possible in my beloved country.

National Assembly is always protected by retinue of Police Officers, SSS Operatives and other Security Agencies esp when they are on session. How then will someone entered the Assembly Complex, went right inside the chambers when Senators were having their sitting and stole the Mace without resistance from the Security Agencies?
