Am already a Farmer, and am very proud sir. Only patriots will understands PMB's message.

I guess you are a Muslim farmer. You are not the target of the herdsmen. They only clash in Christian communities. How many of such clash have you heard of in Sokoto or Katsina State? Let's be honest with ourselves.

Agriculture is providing jobs for millions of our citizens and we are doing well towards the attainment of food security and jobs. The media may not appreciate the work we are doing but we will shock them by the success we are recording.”

Re: Go To The Farm And Earn Respect, Buhari Tells Nigerian Youths by whatofyou: 12:28am On May 02, 2018
Is it not the kind of farming that his fulani herdsmen brothers have been farming with their cattle? This government can procure different agricultural machinery and hire at a 'cool' rate to farmers who are not yet very 'big.' This may entice more youths into turning their heads to food production. Silly things!

Every time that this man speaks he's more like shooting himself on the foot,he kept picking on the youths to justify their wickedness for not giving up power to the youths, somebody should remind this madman that the world has moved on,people are talking about technology now not farm.

They the old men should be the ones doing the farming, while the youths looking after the politics, technology, economy and security of the country.

The youths are the future.

You Mr. Buhari... get out of Aso Rock and earn at least 10% respect
from Nigerians...

and when you get out... keep your mouth shut until the day you embrace
eternity...

that will make a lot of us see you as a reasonable statesman.

Thank You Sir.

Sadly, lazy Nigerian youths don't want to get their hands dirty, they want easy money, easy success, they want o drive jeep, they want to own house in Lekki, Abuja and in the village.

We've had so many bad leaders and bad policies, but the average Nigerian youth is not ready for prime time either.
Objection your lordship!
Agriculture ain't the only 'hardwork' around! Many young Nigerians' hands are being soiled in such jobs like recycling, civil engineering (non-professional), automobile maintenance ( mechanics, vulcanizers, panel-beaters etc). IT & mobile tech nko?
Our young people are into services: uber, taxify, catering & ornamentals, commerce etc.
Overhyp-ing agriculture by the govt smirks of laziness to explore other sectors that are developing the economy. These setors and sub-sectors do earn respects too!

angry The mumu man thinks Nigerians ain't wise, after encouraging them to go into farming,u will send your gun and dagger wielding herdsmen brothers to feed ur ill stricken cows on their farm produce. Why not tell Yusuf to go into farming? maybe we may join when we see how serious he is
that's a a wrong notion... If Yusuf decides to go into farming.. He'll have hectares upon hectares of federal land to farm on with all machineries in place to make him a successful commercial farmer...
The question is how do you expect an average Nigerian youth who studied petroleum engineering without any prior farming experience to go into farming? plus where is he going to get the fund for commercial farming? If you say source from relatives and stuff... The I'd you just once "in this economy?"... Pls don't say loans... Ask those who applied for fadama and d rest.. Loans goes to d real big wigs in agro...
now let it be known that going into agriculture without proper funding is a waste of your meager resources cuz you'll have to pay for everything done o the piece of farm which by d way might be very small cuz you can't really afford a larger space, this will in turn translate into a loss eventually

How many youth really do u think are like that? Your analysis is flawed for an extreme . Buh be real honest what training is agro is freely available to the youth? pls don't mention SAED.
Now where is the funding coming from? Don't say soft loans cuz there are none.. What happen to the technological sector na old men go run am? Pls let's put a lot In perspective b4 making embarrassing and demeaning statements... Nigerian youths are not lazy there just ain't much opportunities out there

Yet you went to sign trade deal to be buying food produce from the U.S.

I tire ooo. Maybe he dint even understand what Trump was saying.

From the video I watched of their joint press briefing, Trump was saying since we give nigeria 1 billion dollars in aid every year, we demand that you relax your laws and let our farmers export their produce into Nigeria.

The first question that came to my mind was how will this arrangement benefit our own farmers.

It would have been a totally different scenario if he said let our agricultural companies come and set up large scale , mechanized farms in your country ....thereby creating employment, agriculture knowledge and making available better products for consumers.

That would have been a win win for all parties.

Instead our man just dey smile like sheep.
