The students of the Novena University, Delta State, are currently protesting the demise of their colleague, Faith Kelechi Ojum, who died while on her way to use an ATM outside the school’s campus. The 300 Level Public Health student had her throat slashed by one of the bamboos being conveyed by a truck. Her colleague are protesting what they call an avoidable death which wouldn’t have occurred if all the ATMs in the school were working. I'm a former student of that school... It's Skye Bank fault.... Skye Bank in both obiaruku and Amai are rubbish. The bank I've called them out on Twitter not long ago.

godswilld10: I can't really blame Ochonogor... The school management are just clueless. They have boreholes... They have petrol and diesel generators.... But to pump ordinary water na wahala. Ochonogor cannot be coming to pump water for students nah. The top admin staff in the school are just nonchalant. Skye Bank... They will open at 10 a.m and close at 2pm... That yellow customer care man in Amai branch (they later moved him to obiaruku... He no longer in obiaruku again) the man, i hate him. Ask him something and he'll mutter inaudible words and then ignore you till you get tired and walk away. I applied for ATM card in Amai branch 2yrs ago, the next one year, is one story and the other... Had to go Asaba to apply for card before i got one. It's only when i don't have choice that i force myself to enter either branches. |
