Honestly, I agree with your point and I would prefer our indigenous brand to become dominant. But in my location, glo network is the most useless data network. It is very slow and takes forever to load pages. What made me part ways with them is when they slashed their data bundle into half. I don't like patronizing the South African leech but they have one of the best services out there and most people care about good services than the nation the company came from. If glo can improve their network strength and go back to being data grandmasters, I will patronize made in Nigeria network. Otherwise I have no choice than the South African counterpart

I have always struggled using MTN at home for like 7 years. It's been terrible. So people in my area advised to use GLO, but I kept doubting, not until I tried it on Saturday. LTE and 3G all very fast on GLO. I don't have to run up and down looking for network around my home and my immediate environment anymore. It was very terrible for 7 years. I even complained to MTN to optimize the network, upon everything, no show. For u guys info, I worked for MTN for 10 years so I know what the network strengths are. I am particular about where I Iive and do 95% of my browsing. GLO data also does not deplete quickly. MTN bullshit data exhausts like pure water.! I don't give a damn about their rip off network. Even the voice call very fast on GLO. I even discovered GLO has very sweet data plans. They even send me updates on how to check my balance and my bonus available, and also very user friendly. I have also visited several communities in my area and GLO has been extremely fast. GLO is the best

Yes that data may be expensive and finish quickly but at least you will enjoy what you paid for unlike the useless glo that you won't be able to send ordinary email or open google. 9mobile is also becoming very useless like glo.

Your comment is fraught with calumny and it's obvious you're only out to distort the truth. I would have been able to help with whatever issues you 'had' with the network (that's even if there's any) if you would come out clean.

Be assured that MTN's data revenue growth is not a fluke but a representation of subscribers' continued trust in the yellow network. As a company out to make its customers happy, MTN continues to invests heavily in network productivity and optimisation. If you don't know, you don't know.

So, brother, it's high time you rejoined the MTN network where you can do amazing things with data and enjoy seamless data experience.

Lest I forget, I posted this comment in the middle of the sea on MTN network and there was no break in data coverage.

You guys should leave this MTN coming to the stock market thing. Their share ain't gonna do well, ask prospective stock experts. They are only coming to the Nigerian market to fulfil their selfish aim and objective so as to cushion the huge effect of the NCC penalty fine. Useless networks!

1st lets start with MTN Group

The biggest shareholder of the MTN Group is the Public Investment Corporation, which is owned by the South African Govt, other major shareholders are Coronation Asset Management of South Africa, MTN Zakhele, owned by black South Africans, and a variety of other International and South African Asset Management Companys.

The publically traded shares for the MTN Group are traded on the Johannesburg Stock Exhange, and are arguably majority owned by South Africans, which is why the Sathas and their govt went very frantic when Nigeria threatened to bankrupt their crown jewel.

Now on MTN Nigeria, huuuuuuuuuge majority, last time i checked about 80% is owned by the MTN Group, the balance being held by a variety of South African, International and Nigerian asset managers and filthy rich individuals.
