On monday, 30th April 2018, the president of the federal republic of Nigeria General Muhammadu Buhari is the first African Head of State to pay a visit to white house in the United States of America since trump took office, which later on result chaos and negative critics from som Nigerians.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE VISIT?
1. SECURITY: Security topped the agenda, where president Buhari thanked trump for the recent sale of military aircraft to Nigeria and the physical presence of the United States Military in his country.
2. ECONOMIC: Although no any major trade announced, trump and Buhari talk about ways to deepen economic coorperation.
3. IMPROVE RELATION: Nigeria's relationship with the US has improved since trump come to office, as remarked by trump, the visit also signals that the US continues to see Nigeria as one of its most important partners on the continents as said by blanchard.
And lastly, one very welcome outcome of the meeting was the finalization of the repatriation of $500 million of stolen Nigerian funds hiding in US banks..........
