The Nigerian Senate is currently locked in a closed-door meeting over the refusal of the inspector-general of police, Idris Kptum Ibrahim to appear for the third time before the upper legislative chamber.

The IGP was first invited a two weeks ago but failed to show up. He was re-summoned again to appear last week but he declined. For the last time, the Senate invited him to appear today. He did not show up.

At the end of the closed-door session, the Senate will take a decision on the appropriate sanctions to melt out.

They should leave the doors permanently closed, and continue with their muscles flexing ..... but this 8th Senate is too petty, childish and unserious, all thanks to Saraki's desperation to be a "force to reckon with" they keep abusing and desecrating their office, at any slide provocation or dispute, it's summon, even to the level of summoning Buhari....yeye people.

Idris will not be the first IGP to be invited. When the Chief enforcer 9f our laws is also the Chief breaker. If I am in the Senate, I will strongly push that we ignore him completely
