It is not about Saraki or Dogara. His action is an affront against Nigeria, against Democracy and even against PMB.

Oh, why do you think people respect him as IGP? it is not because he has gun and instruments of coercion? It is the authority conferred on him by the law, it is that law that created his office, gave him Uniform and allocated resources to that office. The IGP initially sent his deputy to represent him in appearing before the Senate, but the senators rejected him. The NASS is unnecessarily personalizing the issue. the face of the IGP should not be the important issue here rather the delegated individual from the police institution. because the senators have several policemen as aides make them lack respect for the career officers of the institution. Police invited Dino but he refused to show up.. Respect is reciprocal.

I suggest that the national assembly amend the law that created the offices of the service chiefs and remove the appointment of service chiefs from the hand of the executive (the president ) and do appointment themselves by majority vote on the floor of the house. I think that will curtail all these executive excesses and abuse of power and intimidation.

They do not understand how the lopsided 36 states political structure of Nigeria, created by northern soldiers between 1967 to 1996, makes the Buharis the kings of Nigeria's political process.

Through the 19 states proliferated by Abacha and Babangida in Fulani-controlled northern region, the region draws excess and undue majority representation in every political process of Nigeria.
Idris can afford to ignore any senate summon, he can't be removed, his bad behavious can't affect Buhari's re-election, because Buhari is sure to win 25% votes in the 19 states of north, then shops for 25% in 5 other states down south to win re-election.
