As a customer i will buy the cheaper oil from the small champ(Because i like cheap things ) but i also will understand that the other seller paid for logistics, clearing etc which the small champ didn't.

Dru23, that was a general statement and i don't remember mentioning you. I don't know what you specifically do. What i do know is that some people on here (including you according to falz) buy from Wal-Mart et al on sale. What they then do is take it to shippers who put them inside vehicles or other containers that are classified as household items and either avoid or minimize the tax completely. Oil is considered hazmat and taxed a lot higher than parts, even containerized. With air freight, it's at $7/lb.


This option was offered to us for oil, gas struts, batteries and other hazmat products, however when you bring things by container, it's not as easy. Plus,when you spend as much as we have, you don't risk your entire business on trying to cut corners. Our actual costs for the oil are most likely the same or even lower than yours. Our methods and overhead however are not. You specialize in oil, we do not. It is simply one item in our thousands of lines.

It's there anything untrue in what I've said? And if it doesn't apply to you (and again, i never said it did), move on.

Now if you want to drag this out, we can circumvent all that and simply post both our manufacturer/distributor order invoices right here.

I think I need to help you out with respect to the guy saying your Oils are expensive. He his simply a troll. Never pay much attention to such people.

With regards to how they can get their Oil so cheaply. He should understand that this is Nigeria. Some of those Oils or Auto Parts are bought with stolen ccs, they end up paying no custom charges and can eaily flip it for half price.

Even in the US and Uk. Shit like that happen.

What the guy should actually be checking is the Usd price of your products on your US website or manufacturers website before making baseless accusations.

Anyway, keep doing what you do. You will gain your own loyal and dedicated customers with time. Never compromise on good quality and service.

Edit: I will be using Nigerian Mobil1 because its a brand that i trust globally. I think only a fool will try extended oil changes in that environment so regular oil changes is paramount.
