Lautechgossip:
The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Kayode Fayemi, on Sunday revealed that he would resign his appointment as Minister of Mines and Steel Development in two weeks time.

Fayemi was on Saturday declared winner of the APC primary election having polled a total 941 votes.

Speaking on Channels Tv about his victory, Fayemi revealed that contrary to reports, he did not give any delegate money and was not an accidental candidate.

He said “I am going to resign my appointment as minister in the next two weeks.

“I am not an accidental candidate. The delegates know me. I didn’t have to give money to delegates, I was able to convince them on what I have consistently done.”

Speaking on Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose’s warning to him, Fayemi said “Ayo Fayose is a common enemy of my party and the common enemy of the state.

“Ayo Fayose’s name is not on the ballot, I don’t want to dwell on that.”

Kikiotolu recalls that President Muhammadu Buhari had sometime in April approved a leave of absence requested by Fayemi.

The leave was to allow the former governor of Ekiti State seek the nomination of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stand as a candidate in the July 14 governorship poll.

Can someone tell me what Kayode Fayemi's achievement was in the Scandal ridden Solid Minerals ministry before embarking on a governorship race in his home state? It took the House of Representatives management led By Rt Honourable Dogara to paya visit to Ajaokuta Steel where it was discovered that he wanted to concession it to some foreigners who have been scandalised worldwide. What has he done to Madam Natasha Akpoti submissions at the House of Representatives to date? Remember he still has some corruption cases to answer the last time he left the Government House Ekiti.

Quite late... Should have resigned before going for the primaries. I'm sure his seat at the FEC would be reserved in case he loses in the polls
[/s]then what will happen if he didn't get the ticket?

Is there any law that says he must resign before going for primaries?

From a nairalander

Calling on all Nairalanders to send in a helping hand to
he should drop out.

It is not by force to go to school. If he cannot pay school fees even from 100 level, he will beg for aid till he graduates. Why should a man be begging for school fees money? His mates work at building sites, he should try it instead of being lazy and waiting for someone who works hard to pay his fees

What was he doing during the break?

What has this guy achieved as a minister ?

Is he not supposed to resign before contesting regardless of what the law stipulates?

That says a lot about his integrity as a leader ...

Some embittered wailers were ignorantly complaining about Fayemi allowed to contest the APC ticket without resigning as a minister. Fyi and enlightenment, he is not required to resign before contesting for the ticket but he must do so before being allowed to slug it out with PDP as the candidate of APC.
stop displaying ignorance, don't you know that a public officer is not allowed to play partisan politics?

Where is that written, olodo?. Only civil servants are not allowed to do that; and that's on paper.

Take it or leave Fayemi is an intelligent candidate..APC Delegates understood this before casting their votes, now that military won't be available to supervise tumbpriting of ballot papers in one hotel or any secret place, the gubernatorial election will be keenly contested in Ekiti State ..

don't be an idiot

I have never opened my legs for one soul and I make money fine and good because I have a brain.

You are obviously brainless, hence your belief that all girls open legs to make money, even that, is not an easy work. You think there are no risks to opening legs?

Anyway, bobrisky is making money by opening yansh, if it is so easy, go and open yansh too and you will make money

As if the boys sponsoring themselves in school have four heads.
