Assembled not produced. Nigerian government doesn't support production or manufacturing of anything. The only thing they rely on is the OIL. The money from oil goes to government, government officials divide the money among themselves

What's ur point? How many countries manufacture indigenous vehicles? Every major vehicle manufacturing company has an assembly plant in South Africa hence they don't import tokunbo. They save the foreign exchange, that's the idea. We'll get there someday.

You speak well from an engineering perspective though you may upset some here.

These vehicles are NOT engineered here in Nigeria - they are simply imported as CKD kits from China and assembled here. I will however laud those efforts but it is not high level automobile engineering by any stretch.

Folks like @ Esejojo claiming that is "the same case as Mercedes" is quite hilarious since they completely ignore the fact that Mercedes engineers and designs their vehicles - where they choose to source some parts is immaterial.
