Not sure about that. At some point there will have to be a consensus candidate that emerges that can get 218 Republican votes, maybe Scalisle or Stefanik. Seems personal that they want McCarthy to go down.

Would not call it a stench from Drumph.. The GOP elites are determined to hold on to power of the party. They will gang up and vote for a Democrat so that MAGA candidate does not become speaker I suspect.

Will go on tomorrow. This is a war between those who are MAGA and GOP elites. Dems are rock solid 212. Some 7 GOP elites can switch switch sides just to make sure any candidate who supports Trump does not get speaker.
As of now McCarthy will never get speaker.

Former President Trump on Tuesday lashed out at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and his wife, former Trump administration Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, for “unnecessary turmoil” within the GOP in the wake of House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy’s (Calif.) failure to win the lower chamber’s Speakership.

“There is so much unnecessary turmoil in the Republican Party,” Trump said, adding that the disorder is due in large part to McConnell, Chao and their “RINO” allies, using an acronym for “Republicans in name only.”

The statement is the latest example of Trump attacking not only McConnell but also his wife, who last month denounced the former president’s frequent use of a racist nickname for her. Trump repeated the nickname in his latest statement.

Trump has long expressed his contempt for McConnell and for his former Transportation secretary. McConnell’s pullback from the former president has continued to rile Trump — and Chao resigned after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

Putting it better Drain the Swamp Resistance is what you are witnessing.

All these people laughing here don’t realize that this is the major difference between the two parties. The republicans have always been more ideologically diverse with more factions within the party while the democrats have always been monolithic like the zombies they are. What did I tell you earlier about the opinions of all liberals, including the ones who mouth off on this thread, always being in lockstep with what you hear on cable TV? This is the evidence bro.

They all receive their orders and talking points from above on a near-daily basis so they all know exactly what to say and think on every issue of the day. That’s why there’s always this bizarre harmony of specific buzz words and phrases whenever you hear liberals give their opinion on any issue. (Have you noticed this before? Watch the Tucker Carlson video below for an example). That’s why there is no surprise that the democrats have all quickly fallen in line behind Hakeem Jefferies as their leader without any debate. Because thats what democrats do. They fall in line like zombies.

The Republican Party on the other hand has always been a big tent party with a broad spectrum of ideologies and many factions within it. You have the establishment/RINO faction (Romney), you have the libertarian faction (Rand Paul), you have the freedom caucus, you have the social conservatives, the fiscal conservatives, the neoconservatives, the moderates, the pro-Trump faction, the anti-Trump faction. Bruv the diversity in that party is too much which is why they sometimes have difficulties agreeing on certain policies and positions but that is really a good thing becuase it proves we are not mindless zombies like the democrats.

I am sure they will agree on a speaker soon but whoever emerges (most likley McCarthy) will know that he has his work cut out for him and can’t take any single member of his caucus for granted. As it should be.

Trump derangement pro max. Everything that happens in this life must be because of Trump. Go seek help. McCarthy is not even a Trump republican, he is more establishment, so I don’t see what this has to do with him.

All you lame Dems have to attack republicans now is “Trump stench” becuase that’s how bereft of ideas and achievements you are in your own party. Keep deluding yourself. Until DeSantis will hand Biden his ass in 2024 then we will see how much your “Trump stench” will save you. Has your own party recovered from the KKK and Robert Byrd stench yet?

Lmao the person with the second most votes (Jim Jordan) is a bigger Trump acolyte. The people who rebelled against McCarthy are Trumpists who want a more Trumpy speaker like Jordan or Scalise. The establishment are the ones behind McCarthy. Do you know even what’s happening at all or do you just have an obsessive compulsion to mention Trumps name at every opportunity?

I don’t know why you libtards are so invested in an internal GOP matter anyway. Go fall in line behind Hakeem Jeffries and take his orders for the day like the loyal demcRAT zombie you are

Don’t mind them. And they still have the audacity to come here and talk about “Trump stench” when their whole party reeks of the KKK and segregationists. They have tried for many years but will never detach themselves from that history.

They are still a racist party, they just practice a different type of racism/slavery now. It’s very subtle but just as effective. Look at these quotes form one of their “iconic” presidents and you will understand what I mean.

In the spring of last year, legions of arms-control experts began popping up at think tanks and on social media, and then became key sources for hundreds of often-clueless reporters. ‘We created an echo chamber,’ [Rhodes] admitted, when I asked him to explain the onslaught of freshly minted experts cheerleading for the deal. ‘They were saying things that validated what we had given them to say.’

“The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. … They literally know nothing,” Rhodes bragged.

Yes ooo. He was a big mentor to all of them. Just imagine that. A former high ranking KKK member was a leading democrat in the senate for decades and they all gathered to eulogize and praise him at his funeral.

Just imagine if this was republicans. IjeBos and Obrigardo will not let us drink water. I will like to see how they defend this one. I trust they will just ignore it or come and say “he apologized”. No amount of apology would be good enough if it was a republican that was a former KKK.

The New year starts on a high note and my predictions are in motion, which means one or all will come to pass..

Republican party = dead and wont hold power for at most the next two Presidential cycle
Criminal trump = powerless politically and will be criminally indicted
House GOP = lifeless
Majority of criminal trump goons = Accountability

Got high expectations this year.

I also got vaxxed because of travel. I have not seen any side effects though. There were those who got adverse effects , the vax should not have been forced.
Doctors were forced to use FDA/CDC protocols and many lost their jobs because of exercising their inherent experience.
The Vax thing was literally forced, making Big pharma billions of dollars. to me it seems it was the money they are after.
