Rumous had it that Sanusi was acting on Sanusi s orders
The fact of the case was there for all to see, but for the prejudiced view of most people in this country will always blind their eyes from the facts.

This man is a victim of power tussle between himself and the then CEO of First bank in the name of one Mallam SANUSI LAMIDO. The banking sector was turned upside down because of the power play. Sanusi wanted to use his influence as the then CBN governor to take over Intercontinental bank for first bank, just to settle personal scores with Dr Erastus Akingbola. If Erastus were to be guilty as charged, why was intercontinental (Defunct) awarded the bank of the year just few month earlier, alas Lamido came on board and he hunted Intercontinental bank like a poacher hunts for African Rhinoceros tusks. Alot of the people here never knew the intrigues behind this case but are quick to judge. LET HE WHO COMES TO EQUITY COME WITH A CLEAN HAND.
That is the problem we are facing now. It is just about power tussle. Where is Cecilia Ibru? Where are the other directors of banks that ran their banks aground? The reason this case is still alive is because of personal beef between Akingbola and Sanusi.

I can't believe this, but for once I agree with you totally. I guess miracles do happen
Unlike you, I hate corruption anywhere it is found.

I say the truth even if it hurts.

Unlike you and your ilk that support the highly corrupt tinubu because he is a Yoruba and gives you peanuts like a one eyed in the land of the blind.

I thought Akingbola has been let off the hook!

So they still call him to answer for his past.

What about Cecilia Ibru? As head of the defunct Oceanic bank she ran aground the bank with customers deposit.

Is she a free woman?

Cecilia Ibru have lost face in the banking business due to her alleged involvement in corruption and is now anchoring her ship in Education.

Talking about the Michael and Cecilia Ibru University in Agbaro Otor in the Ughelli area of Delta state, a university name after her and her late husband, Chief Michael Ibru
Cecilia was guilty and she pleaded guilty. She was sentenced but she never went to prison because her lawyer complained that she had health problems and she was admitted to st Nicolas hospital. While the time continued to count

Not the judiciary but the freaking laws and constitution.

The judiciary only capitalizes on the loopholes in the useless constitution to game the system and hence our problems till date.

Nigerian constitution is a horrible joke that needs to be overhauled! We need a new constitution drawn up.and agreed by the people cos the current one is just pro night and pro Islam.and thoroughly deficient for the issues of today.
Well, I agree with you. But our construction is good for sane people. Not a mad country like our own.

Exactly, the matter from the inception was about Dr Erastus, but the attack had to be masquerade as to be a pruning process in the banking sector. happened to the rest of the CEOs? afric bank, union bank (Buhari get shares there), fin bank and oceanic bank. We are too gullible and biased in this country.

Erastus stood his ground because he knew it was power play. To me in the banking industry, I will still choose an Erastus over Sls.. why, because sls ruined so many lives just because of personal vendetta...

A lot of us know that Akingbola was used as a scapegoat, he has suffered enough meanwhile his peers and seemingly saintly CEOs are still doing business.

That's true, if the old Ooni of Ife was still alive, I am sure the power play would have been so interesting. A lot of people don't know this story.

Akingbola don't discriminate between bsc and HND. A lot of polytechnic graduate had hope, same salary scale for everyone and they all worked with their hearts dedicated to the job..

Even if he were a thief he is our Robin Hood. At no time was iBPlc unable to meet its obligations to customers, the treatment was obviously a witch hunt. If you don't know then you dont know.

You are indeed in the know, unlike a lot of people that will just come upon on NL to spew jargons. Sanusi is an overly ambitious man, just like a certain man from Kwara, SLS because of the connections he has thinks he can bamboos everyone, and when Dr Akingbola stood his ground, suddenly he became the enemy of the state wrt the banking sector. children of hate, everywhere.

How do you know he was cursed? It is clear you are a fake Christian who knows nothing more than curses and fall down and die prayers.
If that's the way people get cursed it means you are cursed too because one of your parents must have said some senseless things out of ignorance before you were born. Do you get the logic?

there was something really fishy in access bank acquiring intercontinental bank.
it made no sense to business/banking savy people.

just for the record, access bank was owing intercontinental bank lots of funds at that time.

Aig imohkuede as at then was an Inlaw to GEJ and this made the whole process easy and YES Access Bank was owing Intercontinental Bank to a tune of half a billion when the dollar was still at a reasonable rate...the debt was write-off immediately after the takeover....a lot of personal interest involved just to bring that Almighty bank to dust...did i even mentioned that Saraki was also a huge debtor to the bank...but what happens next...bad debt written-off.

I weep for this country...shenanigans everywhere.
