Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has embarked on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee in Israel, this The Nation had gathered.

The celebrity Pastor has embarked on the tour with hundreds his members at Christ Embassy to study the bible and visit historic places.

The tour to Israel, began on Saturday with the boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. They started the boat ride at Magdala.

The Sea of Galilee is a freshwater lake in Israel. In the Bible, much of the ministry of Jesus Christ occurred on the shores of Lake Galilee. Many miracles performed by Jesus according to the Holy Book occurred at the sea including;



His walking on water, calming the storm, the disciples and the miraculous catch of fish, and his feeding five thousand people (in Tabgha). In John’s Gospel the sea provides the setting for Jesus’ third post-resurrection appearance to his disciples (John 21).

The Sea of Galilee is mentioned in the Old Testament as the Sea of Chinnereth (Numbers 34:11, Joshua 12:4, Joshua 13:27), Lake Gennesareth (Luke 5:11), and Sea of Tiberius (John 6:1, John21:1).

Participants of the boat ride have described the experience as “magical” and a “once in a lifetime experience”. They also mentioned that the moment was even more glorious because of the fact that Osinachi Joseph sang throughout the whole ride.

Joseph (nee Kalu) popularly known by the mononym Sinach, is a multi award-winning Nigerian Gospel music singer, songwriter, and senior worship leader.



To magnify the experience even more so, Pastor Chris gave an inspiring and uplifting ministration about Man’s duty to serve God and his deep connection to the Land of Israel. He stated in his ministration that it is important to love the land, live the land, and explore the land.

The church members on the tour accompanied the Pastor to a variety of Holy sites including; Mt Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered His sermons on the Mount

As gathered the celebrity Pastor has established connections with evangelical community in Israel and neighborhood communities around Israel. And the tour comes with the goal of expressing to his followers the importance of supporting the holiest land in the world, Israel.
