Members of the new Peoples Democratic Party, nPDP, say it is too early to know for certain if they will remain in the All Progressives Congress, APC, but warned that 12 states in the country, amounting to about four million votes, were at stake should its members decide to leave the ruling party.

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, reportedly acknowledged this much when he met with leaders of the nPDP bloc in the APC at his Aguda House official residence in Abuja.

Newsworth recalls that the nPDP bloc had in an April 27, 2018, letter
addressed to the Chairman of APC informed the party of their grievances and expectations from both the party and the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The nPDP later added that they had met to consider the state of affairs in the ruling party and the country and had set up committees that will help it chart the way forward.

At the meeting with Osinbajo on Monday night, the nPDP members in attendance tabled their grievances and problems within the APC, which they said were reinforced by the parallel congresses held by the party in several states of the federation.
