The man, with the handle @jajaphd tweeted some reasons why girls were so dependent on their boyfriends for finances.

In a poverty-ridden society like ours, all you see is "survival of the most-mischievous", "Highest bidder" Olosho mentality. The more money you got, the greater your chances of finding "love" et al... All the ladies care abt is money and all the guys care abt is sex!

I've always said it, there're very few cases of true love among Nigerians. Majority of the ladies are very F'ugly and not sexually attractive yet, they hold guys to ransom for some godforsaken sex a more attractive prostitute will give you for way less money..

All my college years, I never had a single girl-friend as she'd be asking for the finances knowing I don't work (How many young under-graduates do sef?).
