I woke up very tired and lazy, I guess it's because I was thinking about my life and slept off In the process. My name is Cindy, am the only child of my parents. my parents are very strict and love me very much but I wasn't over pampered. I have the love of my parents but am not lucky when it comes to relationships
my first boyfriend left me because I am too smart for him, he feels intimidated whenever we are together and the next guy I met love me because of my parents wealth I had to end the relationship with him

MRS BROWN

today is my daughters 25th birthday and am grateful to God for giving me a brilliant and loving daughter. I went to her room and enter without knocking and met her sitting down
Mrs Brown: Happy Birthday my baby. you are a woman now u know, my baby is 25
Cindy : thanks mum, I love you.
Mrs Brown: I love u too my angel. get dressed I and ur dad will take u out, we have a special treat for u. today is a special day

MR BROWN
my daughter Cindy is hardworking and I have decided to make her the MD of my company. Ever since my wife and I could not have another child, I promise myself to love my daughter and today I will give a new car as her birthday gift because she deserves it. right from primary school she has been a brilliant child and am very proud of her. I see her as the son I never had.

CINDY
I was already set to go out with my parents. I went to the sitting room and met my mom and dad gisting and laughing while waiting for me like a newly wedded couple.
my parents are always together, despite their age, they still express their love to each other and I get jealous sometimes and wish to meet that special someone someday.

"I was excited that finally my parents decided to do my wish. I kissed their check and we all went to get my new car then I drove my new car to my best friend's house . she was excited when she saw me then she congratulated for my new gift.
Kayla and I have been friends from our secondary school days we are inseparable which make some people mistook us for twins. she has two elder brother Femi and Ade and her parents own Bamidele holdings a well known furniture company.

my alarm woke me up by 6.000am I ran to the bathroom immediately to take my bath before I have an interview by 8.00am and I don't want to be late. by 7.0am I was ready then I went to the dinning to eat my breakfast prepared by my cute little sister Rose. I went to the kitchen to take my food and I met my mom.

"mom I have an interview today at BAMIDELE holdings wish me well"

I decided to take a taxi so I won't be late for the interview. on our way we saw a tanker which collided with a commercial bus and there was traffic as a result of the accident. I

gave the cab driver his money and decided to continue my journey with my leg.

CINDY
we were on our to paint the town red, we decided to go for shopping first then to BAMIDELE holdings to show my new car to femi and Ade who was working in their father's company. we were gisting and laughing unknown to me that there is a pot hole with mud water ahead of us as I was on speed. The next thing I heard I was sound and I was wondering were the sound was coming from then I decided to look at my side and realized I had splash mud water on someone
"Oh my God what have I done "
"You haven't done anything stupid it's wasn't ur fault. go down and apologize to him
" What kind of bad luck is this why today of all day , how will I be able to meet up dress like this. I was still in thought when a charming . and beautiful lady step out of the car. I wasn't in the mood to be carried away by I beauty bcoz she had ruined my day. then I started shouting don't u have eyes can't u see how could you be so careless when driving

" I was about giving her the insult of her life then something strange happened.

My mouth was wide open in shock I couldn't believe that in this modern age a lady like this existed. The lady kneel down to apologize for what she did. I was speechless and calm for some minutes before realizing that she was still on her knees. I told her to stand up and she obeyed

KAYLA
I know Cindy is a nice girl but I was surprised by her actions. How could she do such a girl whose parents are rich kneeling down for a guy no way I won't try that rubbish even if the guy is the president son. I told my hands as I watch the drama between Cindy and the guy.

CINDY
I stood up and I felt for the guy bcoz I have ruined his nice clothes. I was thinking of what to say or do next then my phone rang
"Hello dad
" my angel how are u doing "
" Am fine dad" my dad interrupted and ask me to come to house immediately bcoz.my mom had another Asthma attack. I told the guy that I have to go bcoz I just received an important call and I have to be somewhere now. I went back to my car and drove off

TUNDE
I had to go back home and it was obvious that's had lost the job. I took a cab home on my way home, I was thinking about the lady who kneel down to apologize to me. Oh no I don't even know her name and I forgot to collect her number how could I have made such silly mistake I said to myself. I got home and met my mom in the sitting room and she was surprise to See Me home at that time. I told her what happened and she encourage Me that I will see a better job and God know why things turn out this way.

CINDY
I got home and met my mom lying down and my dad was beside her she look pale. I sat beside her and hold her hands. My mom stop working because of the Asthma attack. She had to employ someone to help her. Manage her boutique business.

One Month later

I travelled to Abuja for my cousin's wedding and puke not resume Work in my dad 's company bcoz of the event. I decided to take a month holiday before I can resume work . It's Monday already and I have an interview in my dad 's company. The staff know my dad has a daughter but they don't know me personally except the MD who has been working for my dad for years. I was looking smart wearing a trouser suit and I was set for work. I met my parents downstairs taking their breakfast, I joined them . After the breakfast my could started laughing bcoz to her it's funny seeing me going for an interview in my dad 's company. I embrace my dad and left them. When I got there, I met some other people who also came for the interview. I greeted them and sat down till it got to my turn. I went inside and met 4 guys and a lady u were incharge of the interview session. One of the guys was busy writing something and then he said
"What's ur name" still writing
" My name is.... He drop his pen and raise up his head I was speechless bcoz he is the guy I splash mud water on and ruin his dress.

My dad is Aremu Abayomi the CEO of REMKO PLC a well known auditing company in the state. I had to use my dad first name so the staff won't get suspicious bcoz they all know my dad as MR Abayomi. The interview lasted for 20 mins and I was able to answer their questions. I know within me that I did well and I will definitely be employed. The lady among them ask me to leave that they will get back to me then I left. While the interview was going on, I noticed that the guy I met last month accidentally did not ask me any questions instead of asking questions he was staring at me.
I couldn't help but notice that the guy is good looking and well dressed too

TUNDE

Oh my God....... Was I dreaming i thought within me. I can't believe am meeting that Angel again after one month. I couldn't stop looking at her and admiring the beautiful creature God created. She is a beauty queen. After that incident a month ago I have been receiving different favours. I was at home reading newspaper then I saw a job advert for the post of Chief accountant in Remko plc and I applied luckily for me, I was employed with a personal car and a fat salary, I even have my own secretary and now I met that Angel again but her presence made me speechless and I couldn't participate in the interview.

KAYLA

Hmmmnn...... Ve missed my bestie if I had known I would have traveled with her. this few weeks without her has been very dull and boring I can't wait for her to return then Sisi walked in and greeted me. Sisi is a friend I met during my NYSC, we became close and my

I called her and told her am back in town she was very happy to hear that. I told her I went for interview in my dad's company she starting laughing and thought I was joking when she noticed I wasn't joking she kept quiet and listen to what I was saying. I told her about the interview and how I met d" mud guy " dats the name Kayla gave him. in my dad's company interviewing me then I told her I will be working in my dad 's company just like every other staff and I want to live a normal life and I don't want the staff to know that am d daughter of their CEO. I pleaded with her to keep my little secret and promise to take her shopping. she accepted and promise to keep my secret.......

I took Kayla for shopping as promised. After the shopping, I went home and met my parents in the sitting room watching TV. They ask about the interview and I told them it went well bcoz I did my best. I was still talking when my phone rang it was a strange number. I pick the call and was surprised that it was one of the staff who interviewed me a while ago. He said I should resume work the next day I thank him and ended the call.
"Dad if other company in this country is like urs, this world will be a better place. I just got a call from your company that I should resume work tomorrow in the Admin Dept"
"Congratulations dear though u deserve better but ur choose this path. I wish u well my dear

The MD took me round the company and introduced me to my new boss then he went to his office. Her name is Sandra . Immediately I recognize her as one of those that interview me. The lady should be in her mid twenties. I greeted her then she gave me the rules and regulations of the company, my duties as her secretary. Serving her coffee every morning was part of my duties. I sat down in my little office, trying to arrange it to my taste when the mud guy walked in
"Hello we meet again let's have a proper introduction because you left me without introducing yourself the other day. I am Tunde Daniels the Chief accountant of this company and you are "
"Cindy Aremu the new secretary to the Admin manager "
"You are welcome to REMKO PLC " he said then we shook hands

I was lost in a deep thought when someone tap my shoulder I look up it was Sandra the admin manager. This is my first day at work and am enjoying my job. My boss gave me lots of work to do and I was able to finish them before I went home. I wanted to call Kayla to come pick me up but on a second thought I decided to take a public transport and live a normal life not the life of luxury. While waiting for bus, a car drove passed me, revise back to where I was standing it was Mr Tunde and my boss. He offered to drop me at my bus stop and I turn down his offer but he insisted then I had to accept. I enter his car and greeted my boss then we drove off. I noticed my boss wasn't happy bcoz Mr Tunde offer me a ride but who cares dats her headache

SANDRA
Tunde is very stubborn, I don't know what is wrong with him. A charming lady like me want him and he is playing hard to get and turning me down. No guy has ever turn me down or rejected me in the past and I won't allow him not now. I won't give up I have to do something very fast

When Tunde drop me at the bus stop, I went to visit Kayla bcoz have missed her. I got there and met Kayla and her brothers discussing and laughing

Ladies and gist or maybe I Should call it gossip. Have always loved Cindy but she see me and Ade as the brothers she never had. How do I tell her how I feel without destroying our friendship. I spent one hour with Kayla before going home. I was exhausted when I got home I took my bath and fell on top of my bed. The thought of my boss and Tunde came through my mind. Are they having an affair ? What if they are having an affair well it's none of my business. Why am I bothered about them hope am not having feelings for him I said to myself then I hit myself Cindy wake up u can't compete with ur boss ". The thought came back again soon and I smiled he is such a gentleman I said to myself. I slept off while thinking about it

I went home after dropping Cindy and Sandra . I got home and met Gabriel my childhood friend waiting for me outside. Am no longer living with my parents. I rented an apartment close to my office . Gabriel and I don't keep secret, he share our joy and pain to one another. Gabriel is not happy with me according to him, I neglected him ever since I started working. It's not my fault my job is very demanding unlike his. He is the manager of a hotel so he has time for himself. I told Gabriel about the situation I find myself. Am in the middle of two beautiful ladies and I don't know who to choose . He advised me to follow my heart and not my eyes then I decided to settle for Cindy


MR BROWN
I haven't being to my office Since my daughter started working in my company. I have an important meeting to attend to and I decided to use the opportunity check on my daughter and she how she is coping. I left for office very early and Cindy was still sleeping when I left I got to the office and met the MD and few staff who are very punctual. I went straight to my office.

CINDY
I woke up late it was as a result of my thinking last night. I got dressed, went downstairs and met my eating. I ask after my dad and she told me he left very early for an important meeting. I embrace her and left. I had to take a cab to work because I don't want to be late. I came down from the cab before I got to the office so my colleagues at work won't see me then I ran inside luckily for me I got there before I boss. As usual I prepared coffee for my boss and when I went to her office to give her the coffee, I met the marketing manager discussing with my boss. I greeted them and gave my boss the cup of coffee. The marketing manager ask me to prepare a cup of coffee for her and bring it to her office because her secretary was sick and couldn't come to the office. I said OK and went to my little office then she went to her office immediately. I prepared her coffee on my way to her office, I met her at the reception and stretch my hands to give her the coffee she acted as if she did not see me then she shouted at me
"Is this place my office, I ask you to give me coffee in my office and not the reception are you deaf or something. She started shouting and it attracted other staff and the came to the reception to know what is happening
"Am sorry ma before I knew what was happening she gave me a very hot slap on my face . The cup of coffee I was holding fell down and I use my hands to hold my face and I didn't move nor utter a word . As I was about leaving I saw my dad looking at me I was surprise to see him .
"What is going on here and who gave u the right to slap her, how dare you "
"Sir I ask " my dad interrupted

I was trying to talk to my dad with my eyes but he ignored me. The next thing he said was you are fired.
" Tell the MD to see me in my office he said pointing at Tunde. He looked at me and said "See Me in my office now then he went to his office. "You see what you 've caused the marketing manager said pointing towards me. I have been sacked because of a low life like you. You will regret this I will make sure u are sacked from this company too then she left wit anger. Tunde came close to me and ask if am OK I said yes then I ran to my dad 's office.

This office is something else with different people. How can someone receive slap this morning because of coffee. I felt for Cindy because she didn't deserve to be treated Like that. She is not the troublesome type then I turn to the other staff watching the little Drama
" hope you all have learnt something today from what happened a while ago. No matter your position, don't look down on anyone and try to treat others right no matter what then I left them and went to the MD office to inform him that the Ceo sent for him

CINDY
I went to my dad's office
"Dad you don't have to sack her because of what happened. It's just a slap "
"Just a slap u say, nobody messes with my daughter and go free. Is that how you have been receiving insults From my staff "

One week after the incident, I made few friends who are junior staff like me. One fateful day, Tunde came to my office and ask me to have lunch with him I accepted and we left the office. We got to the eatery and place our order. After eating we discussed alot. He told me about himself and I did same but omitted the part where am the CEO daughter. He ask about my car because the day we first met I was driving a car. I lied and told him the car is for my friend and have been longing to ride a car and she decided to teach me. We bonded well and it was as if we 'be known each other for years. After our discussion we went back to the office
Two months later
I and Tunde have become very close he drop me off to my bus stop daily and it became his responsibility. Whenever I close late, he will wait for me so he can drop me off before going home. He has offered to take me home on several occasions but I declined his offer. My boss was not happy because I and Tunde have become very close she couldn't punish me because she don't want what happened to the Marketing manager the other time to happen to her.

TUNDE
I close from work very early because I will be going to the market to buy some food stuff so I can prepare soup and Stew for the week. I told Cindy about my plan and she offered to help. We went to the market together, bought the food stuff then I pleaded with her to follow me home so she can know where I live and she agreed.

KAYLA
Have been calling Cindy but her number is not going through so I decided to go to her house and see her. When I got there, I met her mom on the floor trying to get her inhaler but she couldn't get it because she just had another attack. She was pointed towards the direction of the inhaler then I ran to get it and put it in her Mouth. Few minutes later she was OK and she sat on the chair

MRS BROWN
I am indeed lucky today because Kayla came at the right time if not only God know what would have happened to me. I thank her for coming to my rescue and came closer to me and hug me. She advised that I shouldn't be allowed to stay alone that we should employ a house keeper we will be around me always and watch over me in case of emergency like this. She told me she had been calling Cindy but her number is not going through. She decided to stay with Me and watch over me till Cindy get back

We got to Tunde 's house and the place is very nice he has really done well for himself to have such an apartment. We went inside and he offer me a glass of juice. He told me to sit down while he prepare the food for us, I told him I will be leaving very soon so I can't wait for his food. He said it's my first time visiting so I have to stay a little longer I agreed. We started gisting and laughing and I didn't know when I spent 2 hours with him. I look at the time it was 7pm then I told him I had to leave because I don't want to go home late he accepted and I left we got to the door, he hold my hands, draw me closer to himself and kissed me. I didn't hesitate I kissed him back for some seconds then he remove his lip from mine and apologize.
"Am sorry I didn't mean to take advantage of you "
"It's OK you don't have to be sorry about that then I left

KAYLA
Have been waiting for Cindy for more than 2 hours and am beginning to get worried because she phone was switched off. I hope nothing bad has happened to you I said to myself . Few minutes later she walked in and I told her what happen to her mom and the suggestion I gave to her she thank me then I left and went home

MRS BROWN
I was discussing with Cindy on how to get a house keeper to look after me as soon as possible when my husband walked in. We explain what happened to me he embrace me and promise her that such Mistake won't repeat itself

CINDY
My mom and dad got emotional and started kissing them I clear my throat to distract them and they both look towards my direction
"Am still here, you guys should go inside "
"This is my house and I can kiss my wife anywhere I want to "

SANDRA
I won't allow that silly secretary of mine take what belongs to me she can't have Tunde. If I can't have him, no one will . What do I do now......... Yes...... I have to get her out of the way . I took my phone and call Sniper he has been working for me in the past and I know he will do a clean job for me.
"Hello Sniper, it's Sandra I have a job for you
"OK ma. What do you have for me this time "

CINDY
Some months ago before I started working, I was returning from my mom boutique when a terrible accident happened. A woman was knocked down by a car and the driver drove off immediately without stopping. Instead of the people around to carry the woman to the hospital, some were busy taking pictures of her because they thought she is dead. Immediately I got there, I carry her inside my car with the help of some other people around and drove to the hospital. When I get the hospital, I was ask to deposit the sum of 50,000 before they can start treatment. Luckily for me, I was having some cash with me so I deposited the money and ask them to start treatment immediately. I had to go home so I can prepare something for her to eat. The doctor was able to get in touch with her son and he said he is on his way coming to the hospital.
I went home to prepare something for her. I told my parents about her and they were for what I did. I went to the hospital and the lady was awake I gave her the food. She thank me for saving her life after eating the food and ask me to send my account number to her so she can pay me back my money because the doctor told her how much I spent on her medical bills. I told her not to bother because I did it because she was in need of my assistant . She ask me to wait so I can meet her son but I couldn't wait for him because I have an important place to go.

I went for to the supermarket to buy some groceries as I was coming out from the supermarket, I saw a large crowd and decide to check what is happening there

“The man driving the car was rush to the hospital but the lady over there died at the spot”
I left the man and when to where the lady was lying I look at her closely and notice she is still breathing then I took her to the hospital

Cindy promise to come home early. Its past 8 and she is not back. I try calling her but her number was switch off. I called Kayla to know if Cindy is what her but she said she hasn’t seen her all day. Am very worried. I was still thinking of what to do when her dad enter and ask after her. I woke up and found myself at the hospital. I saw my mom and the doctor looking at me

“What am I doing here mom”
“ You were involved in an accident and someone brought you here”
“Oh no …………Cindy where is Cindy mom where is Cindy I was with her when we had the accident”
“Calm down young man don’t stress yourself you will find answers to all your questions when get better for now you need to rest” the doctor reply. I rested for some hours and ask the doctor to tell me what happened. He told me that the people who brought me here said the lady who was with me in the car died on the spot. It was like a dream to me how can she be dead. I just propose to her. I was shouting and crying at the same time. My mom was crying too because she was happy am ready to settle down with not just any lady but Cindy. How will I be able to live without her. Cindy is my world and life. I was unable to thank those that save my life the doctor said they left immediately I was brought her. I was unable to eat because I lost appetite for food.

SANDRA
Sniper called some minutes ago to inform me that Cindy is dead. This is the type of news I want to hear. Finally Tunde will be mine.

CINDY
I woke up and find myself in a hospital. I saw my parents, Kayla and Femi in the room where I was admitted. They were happy to see me alive. They try every means they could think of to know how the accident happened and the person who was driving but am not ready to talk about it. A young man walk in and introduce himself as Joe. He explain how he saved my life. I ask him about Tunde he said Tunde was taken to another hospital. I was still for some minutes and my parents had to call the doctor to check on me and the doctor told them I need rest that they should leave and come back the next day

TUNDE
I have been discharged from the hospital and I was moody. My mom had to stay with me to make sure I eat and take my bath. If not for her, I didn't plan to do anything but just sit on the floor looking at the wall. My mom did her best to console me. Sandra and some of my colleagues at work came to visit me. Sandra did not go with them she stay back and try her best to make me happy but it didn't work. She promise to be there for me. I was given one month leave before I can resume work.
I resume work after the one week leave and met some changes. Cindy's job has been given to someone else. So I won't be able to see Cindy again I said to myself. My colleagues welcome me back and things became normal again.

One month later
I woke up and find myself in another hospital. My dad said he had to transfer me to one of the best hospital in the state so I can have a better treatment. I told my parents that I want to see Kayla. They said Kayla come to the hospital daily to check on me and that she is indeed a true friend. They called her and she came with Ade and Femi. She was excited when she saw me. My parents said have been in coma for one month and they have been praying for me to wake up

Two days later I was discharged from the hospital. My dad ask me about Tunde and I told them everything they need to know about him and I told them I don't know if he is still alive and my dad said he will call the MD to get all the information we need"

I was in my office thinking about what my mom said. 3 days ago my mom said its time for me to move on with my life. She said I should consider Sandra since she has been there for me and she is also a nice lady. My mom is right ever since I lost Cindy, Sandra has been very helpful. She try her best so I will stop thinking. I was able to stand again because of her and I think I should consider her like my mom said. I went to her office to tell to inform her about my plan. I want to marry her. She was busy with some files when I got there so I had to wait. When she was through and I was about telling her, we heard loud noise at the reception. We ran outside to check what was happening only for us to see Cindy's ghost

Final Episode

CINDY
I got to the office with the help of the house keeper only for me to hear them calling me ghost. I told them am not a ghost and that am alive. Some were scares of me and ran away but those who are courageous stay behind. They touch me and was convinced that am alive. They were all happy to see me. Then I saw Tunde and Sandra coming out from Sandra office. Sandra started shouting ghost ghost then she fainted. Tunde was scared initially but I told him an not a ghost then he came closer and embrace me.
We went to his office. I explained what Happened to him. He was very excited to see me alive and he said he wont leave me again and that we should start making preparations for our wedding
"Tunde what are you saying can't u see that I am a cripple. Tunde I won't be able to work again. What can I offer you "
"You are my life Cindy, I can't live without you. Do you know how grateful I am to God for bringing you back into my life. It doesn't matter if you can't walk again the most important thing is that I want to spend the rest of my life with you.
"I want want to be a liability to you. No money to under go proper medical care and surgery "
Baby am not complaining. I will take you to the hospital and if the doctor say there is a chance for you to walk again , am ready to pay for the surgery so you can walk again remember I put you in this situation "

Why are you back Cindy I thought you were dead. Why now that things has started working between Tunde and I. To make matter worst, Tunde just left my office saying he love Cindy and there is no space for me. I can't accept defeat. Not now not ever

I can't believe am seeing Cindy again it's like a dream to me. After work I went to my mom's house and share the good news with her. She was dancing when I told her but she stop dancing when I said Cindy is in a wheelchair because she can't walk. My mom became sad. She said I can't marry Cindy. I pleaded with her to see reasons with me but she said no

They were shock to hear the news. Sandra wanted to faint but she was able to hold herself. Then I smile and I gave my speech. They were all looking at me as if they have seen a ghost.
