4. You must have a correct church membership: This key is one of the keys that are extremely important. Correct church membership helps to align your giftings, callings and anointing in the light of God's purpose for you.

When God wants to place a Christian who is a finger in the body of Christ, He will not place him/her in a church that is a chest. There is no job for fingers in the chest. God is likely to place such a Christian in a church that is a hand. The assignment of the hand helps the fingers to know their own assignment. That is one of the major purposes of right church membership.

The reason too many Christians are redundant today is because they are in wrong churches. They like big churches, they want to be part of a big thing and maybe they like the pastor because he speaks good English. In deciding church membership, the most important thing to do is to pray saying, “Lord which church do you want me to attend?”

There is a connection between correct church membership and every other thing in your life. When you are in place as far as church is concerned, every other thing will be in place. When you’re not in place, you are in space and nothing in space grows as far as agriculture is concerned. You are a plant (Psalm 92:13). Not every soil contains the required nutrients for every plant. Therefore, it is the responsibility of each person to discover the right soil (church) for him. Church membership should not be by tradition but by revelation.



PRAYER: Lord help me to tend and nurture church membership for profiting in the kingdom in Jesus’ name. Amen!
