Read the statement released by the presidency explaining what happened in the last 5 days in the latest conflagration of violence in Plateau State.

PRESIDENT BUHARI DECRIES INCREASED CHEAPENING OF HUMAN LIVES; URGES RESTRAINT IN PLATEAU CRISIS

President Muhammadu Buhari has decried how increasingly cheap human life was becoming in Nigeria, as desperate people pursued their quest for instability and chaos which they hoped would give them an advantage in the coming elections.

Reacting to recent clashes in Plateau State which left scores dead, the President said:

“We know that a number of geographical and economic factors are contributing to the longstanding herdsmen/farmers clashes. But we also know that politicians are taking advantage of the situation. This is incredibly unfortunate.”

According to him, “Nigerians affected by the herdsmen/ farmer clashes must always allow the due process of the law to take its course rather than taking matters into their own hands.”

According to information available to the Presidency, about one hundred cattle had been rustled by a community in Plateau State, and some herdsmen were killed in the process. The state governor, Simon Lalong, had invited the aggrieved groups and pleaded against further action while the law enforcement agents looked into the matter. Less than 24 hours later, violence broke out.

Some local thugs then took advantage of the situation, turning it into an opportunity to extort the public, and to attack people from rival political parties. There were reports of vehicles being stopped along the roads in the state, with people being dragged out of their cars and attacked if they stated that they supported certain politicians or political party.

On his way back to Jos after attending the All Progressives Congress (APC) Convention in Abuja, the state governor had to dismantle a number of illegal road blocks set up by these thugs. There were also a number of dead bodies thugs had killed, lying along the road.

Notice how the Presidency deliberately and tactically absolve the killer herdsmen of any complicity in the killings even though Miyetti Allah has accepted responsibility without shame or fear

Thunder fire both you and and your" due process of the law "

Nnamdi Kanu said, "If they kill you, and you keep crying, government will say they are conducting an investigation and you will never hear about it again But if they kill you kill back in 100 foes, Then both parties will know how each other are battle ready against any form of offensive, then peace will reign"

This official statement reeks of propaganda...

Where are the pictures to support the claims of roadside ambushes??

The people burnt to smithereens. People in different postures that depict being in a state of sleep or restfulness, wearing garments that support the original premise and raises the question.of use of bio-weaponry??..

Where are the cars, the witnesses who saw these hoodlums in.operation??

There has to be an awakening in the land: a cry must be raised for all these victims and potential ones on the international platform.

Where is the rule of law here?? With a government that keeps confabulating incessantly!!

A Soul is a soul, whether moslem, christian, trado practitioner, SE,SW, middle belt or northern..
A stop should be put to this now!!!!

Where were the security agencies when these barbaric killings were going on?

This is another excuse by this inneficient government to absolve herself of blame. Buhari should accept responsibility for the killings

Oh no, is this what governance has turned to in Nigeria?
These specialise in rustling cattle are their FULANI brothers.
they rustle in Zamfara and also killed even the Fulanis.
Diverting this to politics will make no sense.

2 things I am watching out for are:

= If Buhari can visit Bauchi because of rain storm, let's see if he won't visit plateau for condolence.

=Since the group called Miyatti Allah in their statement said this is a reprisal attack on the people of plateau, it means they have knowledge of this. Let's also see if they won't be arrested and questioned.

They come out openly to say the reasons for the killings, yet nothing is done.. Just #endsars campaign, they arrested who started it saying he is a fraudster.. A harmless lady on mask talked about the flamboyant lifestyle of a policeman, next day, 1m naira bounty was placed on her head.. If Abba Kyari can track down Evans and Offa Robbers, why haven't they send him after the killer herdsmen.. The person wey swear for Nigeria need to be Appeased

I noticed that, so shameful!
They chose shifting the blame to the locals.
They didn't even mention the people that died, but they were quick to tell us herdsmen were killed. Wicked souls!
