Uti is absolutely right. People have lost their dignity. Begging is living beneath oneself. Begging is horrible. It is better to drink garri everyday than beg. In my experience we have too many people who'll rather beg than work. Employ them and they show up once or twice. Then they are full of excuses. All they want is money for doing nothing. Begging may not be a criminal activity but it is worse. It is a total loss of self respect. I have more respect for a person who'll forget all their qualifications and do manual labor than to beg.
