5 Reason Why Freelancing Is Better Than A Full-time Job - Nigeriaonlinebusiness by andreweb(m): 4:42pm On Jun 28, 2018 |
A large number of people think that “freelancing” is something you do when you can not get a real job. On the other hand,”freelancers” know that there is nothing more real than that to be at the same time the owner, director and the financial manager. Many people say that they would not be able to live without the security of a traditional business. We ask ourselves, what is a good safe? What is so great in life in which someone from the personnel department, which at the same time you never met, may at any time decides that your position is no longer required for the company? Here are 11 reasons why a room full of independent professionals, the so-called freelancer brings greater stability to their community than a medium or large corporation: Flexible working hours At the time of fast living, it is hard to synchronize family and work commitments. What would make life easier are many flexible working hours? When you’re a freelancer, you can organize your working time as you want, whether it’s morning, afternoon or evening. Convenient is that in this way you can work some other jobs too, of course, if you can manage all of your obligations. Excellent opportunity for advancement If you are hardworking, smart and have the knowledge and skills, very quickly will advance both professionally and financially. Freelancing offers great opportunities, a variety of activities and a large number of employers who need good workers. When I started this my profitable freelancing business, I started quite small but today I make what I was paid back then in just 2 weeks. Nothing advances your career than a freelancing job. It is perfect for those who are still unemployed or those who are underpaid. No ‘dress code.’ Sometimes it is a pleasure to dress up, but everyday wear suit can be a burden. Informal dress while performing work from home is a true ‘gift from heaven’. Just imagine how good it is to have the possibility every day to carry only what you want. Working from home Working from home is an ideal solution for balancing work and family or private life, during which you can successfully make for a living and support yourself and your family. Working from home and thereby carve out a comfortable life, it is fully possible. But, only if you are willing to work hard. The obvious advantages of such operations are often sufficient to lure professionals from the offices in the comfort of your home. Performing multiple tasks at the same time Who has more chance to survive economic shocks: a big company engaged in one activity or an entrepreneur who knows how to do five things at once? Freelancers are themselves in their work. That speaks to that they constantly further educate, constantly wide network of contacts and work hard at acquiring new skills that can make them more competitive in the work they are dealing with. Happy days practising one service or product are long over. It takes nothing to become a Freelancer and takes everything when you start making so much money from freelancing. Its true, freelancers earn good pay but you should also include some of the cons of freelancing. (1) You are at the mercy of the platform. Most Nigerian freelancers on fiverr, upwork etc use fake names and foreign locations to hide their true identity because posing as an American increases your chance of having more sales as compared to actually working from Nigeria. The moment those sites get a wind of your true location, you will either be banned or deported back to Nigeria. (2) Sure you earn dollars and our abysmal exchange rate makes it such a profitable venture. For example, a job an American wouldn't consider for $100 because of the time requirement, a Nigerian will gladly take on the task because $100 is about 36k. You stay up all night sometimes, getting tasks completed. (3) Sometimes you are at the mercy of exchangers. You earn dollars but you cannot spend dollars so you will have to rely on an exchanger, while many are fair, some are very greedy and would want to exchange your hard earned dollars for N270/$. (4) While there is a good potential of making good money freelancing, its not consistent. You can earn $2000 one month and make just $50 the next month. A regular job provides you consistent income on a monthly basis. (5) You can't just wake up and say you want to be a freelancer, it also requires you to choose a niche and master your craft. You will need to self-educate yourself to attain knowledge and the necessary tools needed to be successful. (6) Then there's that constant cat & mouse game you need to play if you plan to operate a foreign account or plan to have multiple accounts to boost your sales. You have to get a foreign VPN and specialized browsers. Plus, you may have to pay for reviews just to boost traffic to your page and what not. Overall, freelancing is still a far better option than being unemployed or working menial jobs, but if you already have a stable job, freelancing can be a secondary source of income, but I won't advise giving up your main job. Just know the ins & outs and you are good to go. 71 Likes 3 Shares |

hahahah.... working from home is never an advantage. only lazy people see it as an advantage. Get an office. you can always freelance from your office. freelance is not about sitting at home, I classify it as consultancy. A full time job has its merit too. This comparison is redundant 9 Likes |
