1st this report was written by an Ebuehi fan.

2nd Ebuehi didn't say any if the rubbish in the above article.

3rd Messi didn't run Idowu ragged

4th Messi didn't score through Idowu's position, he scored through Omeruo's position (Left Central Defence)

5th Nigeria were not launching attacks at 1-1, we were counter attacking

And lastly you won't find this trash report in any credible tabloid

The coach was very right... Ebuehi is extremely good offensively but not defensively as Idowu. And Idowu was playing as a defender in that game not a wingback because of the likes of Messi. Ebuehi don't worry you will get your time

You people had no respect for the people back home. Just to wear black arm band to show sympathy in regards to massacre in Nigeria and expose the incident to the world una dey form model and dancers.
The land is weeping in blood so I won't be surprised if things that will bring joy at the moment to Nigerians end up in shambles.

I kept screaming after the first game against Croatia that genot Rohr is not tactically sound.A tactically sound coach would have navigated this group for us.
A draw against Croatia a win against Iceland and a draw or even win against a very poor Argentina.
He is not good when the going gets tough and when it's needed to read the game in crucial moments.

Ebuehi was the only game changer we needed because Brian idowu was done for in that match. Nigerian football will change once we start giving capable Nigerian coaches the opportunity to lead the team forward and pay them their full allowances. Late Stephen Keshi was a true Nigerian coach

New Benfica right-back Tyronne Ebuehi is reportedly unhappy with Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr for restriction to one match in the 2018 World Cup in Russia despite his form, a source has told our correspondent.

Ebuehi, who has a Nigerian father and a Dutch mother, pledged his international future to Nigeria in 2017 after rejecting Rohr’s invite to play in the Super Eagles’ World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Uyo on December 11, 2016.

The 22-year-old Dutch-born, who is capable of playing at left-back or right-back, was a constant threat down the right channel as he burst into the final third when he came in for Brian Idowu in the 2-0 defeat of Iceland at Volgograd Arena on June 22.

Many Nigerian fans were left fuming after Rohr ended the team’s 2-1 defeat by two-time world champions Argentina at the Saint Petersburg Stadium on Tuesday – to tumble out of the tournament – with Ebuehi idling away on the reserve bench.

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi ran Saint Petersburg-born left-back Idowu ragged – and eventually scored a splendid goal through the Amkar Perm star’s position after taking down a cracking pass from the deep by Ever Banega before beating Nigeria goalkeeper Francis Uzoho from a tight angle to open the scoring for Argentina.

But the 64-year-old German coach defended his decision, insisting Idowu deserved to end the encounter.

“Idowu was very solid in the team. He’s much better defensively and did very well against Messi. He has experience and can play on both sides of the flanks,” the former Bordeaux defence ace told reporters,

“Ebuehi is a fantastic player offensively. He played well against Iceland but he is still very young and still learning. He will definitely improve defensively and become a very important player for the team in the future.”

Our correspondent learnt Ebuehi allegedly boiled with anger as the Eagles, who were in pole position to go through, continued to make mistakes trying to defend deep and then hit the desperate Argies on the counterattack, instead of taking the game to them.

Ebuehi, who joined Portuguese giants Benfica from Dutch club ADO Den Haag in May, was visibly angry as he stormed out of the dressing room into the Mixed Zone where he snubbed the journalists who requested interviews with him after the match.

Sources also claimed that some of the players were not happy with Rohr’s instructions to launch attacks when the match was tied at 1-1 in the dying minutes, which was enough for them to go through as they were tired.

La Albiceleste manager Jorge Sampaoli seized initiative by replacing veteran holding midfielder Enzo Perez with in-demand Boca Junior forward Cristian Pavon in the 62nd minute, and throwing out sloppy PSG winger Angle Di Maria for rugged Independiente midfielder Maximiliano Meza in the 73rd minute before sending on Sergio Aguero for Nicolas Tagliafico in the 81st minute as they probed for the winner to save his team from an embarrassing exit from Russia.

Anyone who think Nigeria was unlucky and Rohr should remain as coach is putting up with mediocre performance. it's a common problem with Nigerians.
The game was handed to Nigeria on a platter of gold. even the gods were in our favour - the cats, the pigs, the mouse, all the funcking animal kingdom were in our support - even snowball.
When the ref awarded Nigeria a penalty, to be honest, i was dead surprised. so leave the ref out of the blame game.
Rohr selection was dead wrong from the first game i knew there was a problem with why he selects Ighalo - something was obviously wrong. The guy is not fit. it was glaring all through the friendlies we played. a dead Iheanacho is better than a fit Ighalo. a dead and buried Iwoebi is better than a fit Ighalo. What was wrong with Rohr.
I felt Ighalo was a political selection either by directive from the top or by incentive from the player to the coach.
Aside all these, no reasonable patriotic coach will lunch an attack at Argentina on the 75th minute when you have carried the day. All he needed to do was luck down the game, bring in fresh legs into midfield and defense. instruct the boys to employ delay tactics. there was no single back pass from that moment on, no single player rolling on the floor to kill off the passion and pressure from the opposition. Even Brazil, will not launch such an attack at that moment. all he fucking needed to do was instruct that the BOYS HOLD THE BALL. FALL ON THE GROUND, FRUSTRATE THEIR PLAY. HOW DIFFICULT IS THAT FOR FUCKING SAKE!

Dude, your bolded above is a fat lie unless your reference is to another match other than the one we all watched on Tuesday.

Messi's goal was from a long centre field pass through the middle of our defence were Balogun-Ekong-Omeruo were operating. How is that anywhere near Idowu's position when Idowu was deployed as left wing back?? Can we say that Messi's goal also came through Moses' position too seeing that Moses is right wing back??

Bryan Idowu has more defensive credentials than Tyrone Ebuehi and the manager was right to not bring in a more attack minded player in the dying minutes in a game in which we were under pressure to hold the result.

Many mistakes were made in that ill-fated game but not playing Tyrone is not one of them.

If he had started Ebuehi, I swear to God Argentina will score more than 2 goals, that guy is not good defensively. The coach knows better than us. Despite not using Ebuehi we had more chances, we should blame Ighalo and Ihenacho that never utilised their chances.

We are not ready for Nigerian managers, never mind great or weak! We suffer serious National Inferiority Complex and I'll itemise my reasons for this opinion:

1) When we employ a European, he is a "technical Adviser" (which is even incorrect as the proper English word should be Advisor) however when we employ a Nigerian, he is only a "Head Coach" despite that the jobs are exactly the same.

2) In pay terms, the contracts we give European managers are often 5 to 10 times higher than the package for the Nigerian manager with extra perks to add...all for the same job!

3) When a European manager fails...whimper/dead silence is all you get. When a Nigerian manager fails, words like Tactical/Deficient/Technical/Inexperience etc are screamed all over radio, TV, Newspaper stands all over the place!

This Rohr man should be sacked ASAP!
He has no intention of seeing us grow as team.
Idowu did well against which Messi?
I still maintain, a better coach who actually wasn't being a saboteur would have helped us qualify. We didn't have to attack so much.

There is something called game management. It is an extensive school of thought and standard professional football clubs and football academies take considerable timeto train their playing staff on it. The Super Eagles had poor game management walahi!

83rd min on and match score was 1:1, we have our result while the Argies were chasing the game. We also had 2 subs to go. I'd take the slower striker, Ighalo, out and stick an extra DF like maybe Ogu in his place and move a faster poacher like Musa to central attack. Musa hugs the center circle in anticipation of a fast counter while everyone else wall of our 18yard.

88mins on, still 1:1, bring on an extra DF for one of your MF like maybe Mikel leaves for Abdulahi and waste some considerable time while doing that. Get a yellow in the process or something but ensure the match isn't active again until the 90th min.

90min+, still 1:1, all the players should become brittle bones and collapse upon all flimsy touches. Howl, wail, scream, cry...but plssss stay on the foickinndg floor!! We will get a yellow card or three but that game must never have been allowed to remain open as it was.

Is it the coach? Should the players have known this too and kick into the act? I really don't know. I guess Africa is still learning the finer points of the game.
