President of Alaigbo Development Foundation, ADF, Prof Uzodinma Nwala has pointed out why the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, must be declassified as a terrorist organization.

Nwala said the declassification of IPOB was in the interest of the Igbo nation.

Speaking with The Sun, Nwala said the people of the South-East will be able to integrate IPOB and other pro-Biafra organizations as instruments of development and freedom.

According to Nwala, “ADF believes that it is in the interest of Ndigbo to have IPOB de-proscribed and declassified as a terrorist organization.

“One, it is not a terrorist organization. Two, it is non-violent in its agitations. Three, Ndigbo needs IPOB and other self-determination organizations for their own political struggles for survival and relevance in the scheme of things in the country.

“Employing the methods the Igbo society employs in the handling of the activism of their youth, Ndigbo will be able to integrate IPOB and other pro-Biafra organisations as instruments of development and freedom.

“The Yoruba nation has been able to do this successfully with the OPC. Ndigbo can do so with the youths in search of freedom and equality.”

When did Nigeria win? Nigeria 'won' and 48 years after the same traducers and murderers of Biafrans are still spilling their blood? Or you erroneously think Biafra is all about a geographical space being governed by Biafrans? So if they ask you, you'd boldly assert that 1999 constitution Nigeria is currently forced to use is a reflection of the wishes, desires and hopes of 'we the people of Nigeria'? And besides, since when did a mere constitution cobbled together in questionable circumstances trump the universally accepted fundamental rights of a people? Is the Nigerian constitution so sacrosanct and unchangeable as to render it immutable and written in the stars for all of mankind?

You still don't understand. The core North have vowed that Nigeria will never be restructured, they like the current system. A restructured Nigeria does not favour the core North as much as it does the South of Nigeria.

So how are you going to restructure Nigeria when the core North has said no? They have more members of the National assembly than the entire South.

Saying that Nigeria should restructure is good but what is the point if restructuring is not possible?
