Bravo as Gov. Ugwuanyi lights up reconstructed Miliken Hill road, Ngwo, Enugu!

History will forever remember the ebullient, caring and action Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for the sound vision, brave initiatives, courage and innovation he brought to bear in the reconstruction and modernization of the historic and all-important Miliken Hill road, Ngwo, Enugu, built over a century ago during the colonial era.

Visits to the hilly and undulating road show that the reconstruction work has been completed to standard and the first phase of the street lighting newly introduced and installed by Gov. Ugwuanyi's administration has started functioning, preparatory to the reopening of the road to traffic.

It is on record that this is the first reconstruction work on the road since after its construction in 1909 by the colonial masters.

Enugu State is truly in the hands of God! #amokelouis

I spotted an error on the road already without taking a second look. I think Nigerians need serious education on road safety.

Those white lines you see on the road aren't for fancy or to demarcate the lanes, it means a lot to the driver. Those lines tell where you can and where you can't overtake.

The straight white lines mean you can't overtake here while the broken white lines means you can overtake here. Applying the broken white lines on a curve is erroneous because you are telling drivers to overtake in a curve.

Come to Kano, this is not a big deal at all, maybe Igbo states are the worst in Nigeria in terms of infrastructure for this to really call for creating a thread

The road is for drivers who have trust in their brakes.

I like that overhead barrier they placed against crazy lorry drivers.

FGN should fix the 9th mile to Enugu axle-killer road to avoid placing too much stress on the Milliken hill thoroughfare.

That road was built in the 1920s. It was the only road into Enugu from Onitsha and Northern Nigeria till the 1970s. Don't worry. The road is stronger than you think.
