Dear family,
I'm a young man of 31, an Introvert,, gainfully employed.
All my life I have always been an indoor person right from childhood to my nursery, primary, secondary, University and even at my place of work. I don't have friends, don't keep any. Even at my place of work my relationship with colleagues ends there. I'm a very loyal person. Loyal to my family, loyal to my wife and loyal to my Boss.
I decided to give a brief background of me so you all can know where I'm coming from.

I have 6 other siblings including my parents who are extroverts, they frequent out a lot apart from me.
My Dad is the chief extrovert of them all. Due to my introverted nature I hardly know people and people hardly know me except few. Most times when we gather for family reunion in the village my dad will want everyone to start going house to house of different people in the village to greet them but I don't. It's just not my thing. Nobody knows me and I dnt know much people in the village but they know of my other siblings. I hate going out, I've tried so hard to see if I can be social outside but it just don't pan out. I was born this way. Even in the flat I live people hardly know when I'm around or not. I hate to visit the village due to so many social activities that go on there and when everyone goes out I alone remain indoors. I don't watch football. Even the just concluded world Cup all my family members will be in the sitting room watching but I'd be indoors.

Is anything wrong with me?

I'm I normal?

People often misconstrue me as arrogant but am not.

Is everything OK with me?

as far as u succeeded in convincing a full fledged woman 2 marry u, u are perfectly normal.

if u dont enjoy being an introvert, simply take action by putting urself out there.

but seriously, how could u not watch dat sweet world cup?

We are all wired differently and its okay to be different so long as you are not a psycho, a serial killer or something bizarre.

And if your relationship with your wife is cool despite your kinda nature, you are good except your wifey is complaining of you being boring.

All the same you are okay bro.

We both the same. I don't leave the house on weekends and my routine is work place to my house. I don't keep friends either. The good thing about it is that there I no drama in my life. OP you're perfectly made. Just be the person you are.

You're normal, and should be comfortable with that. I know you do. However, you and I know that you're feeling inadequate as result of other people's perception about your personality. Well, the truth is that it's not good not to be neither seen nor heard, so you've to create a balance and in the process elevate yourself to the status of a "mystery man." What you have to do is create a special purpose vehicle for social care - this will make it possible for you to be heard but rarely seen. You don't need to be a multi millionaire to achieve this feat, you simply need to adopt the attributes of selflessness and kindliness (in case if you aren't yet) to make this to happen. In the long run it's better to be heard than to be seen, especially when dealing with small-minded people.
