It is important that our weekends are spent having fun, but that does not mean that they cannot also be productive. There are many activities we can undertake during the weekend that does not involve sleeping it away and help us maximize our free time.

1. Read a book:
Schedule a deliberate reading time over the weekend. Whether fiction or non-fiction, books will keep your mind sharp and improve your vocabulary in the process.

2. Catch up on news:
It is important that we stay connected to the world, no matter how busy we are. Documentaries and news are a way to achieve that, as they widen our minds and teach us new things about the world in an informative and fun way.

3. Take a nap:
A nap will make you feel more vital and better able to handle the upcoming workweek. Your body will recuperate from being pushed to the limit and will be better able to serve you in the days to come.

4. Go out with friends:
Going out does not even necessarily have to involve “going out”, but can be a fun and relaxing meal at home with your closest friends where you can talk and laugh without reservation.
