Russian superstar Aleksandr Golovin has signed a deal with AS Monaco, regardless of interest from Chelsea.

Aleksandr Golovin will join the Ligue 1 side from CSKA Moscow.

Golovin came to the attention of the side after a formidable performance at the World Cup in Russia.

Juventus and Chelsea were both eager to land the 22-year-old, however, it appears that evidently, Monaco beat them to it.





Monaco was reportedly going to pay a fee of around €30million for Golovin, but this has not been confirmed.

Monaco’s vice-president Vadim Vasilyev spoke to the press yesterday and said:

“Monaco and CSKA this afternoon finally agreed on the transfer of Golovin.”
