The name of the school shows it's a church owned school.
Due to our system of operation, Government can only intervene in public schools such as Community and state schools.

So, I think you should attack the parish owners.

Did governments not take over all religious schools during the dark days of military dictatorship

Not to defend silly politicians but people should try and focus on facts:

1. That is not a community school but a Catholic school. They are not the same.

2. How can I believe a journalist or civil activist who spells Akpugo Nkanu and Akpugoni Akamu?

3. This particular class in a Catholic school has a roof. The children are willing to learn. What these children need most is access to the Federal Secondary schools based on merit. They also need their humble beginnings rewarded with access to jobs based on merit.

4. Nigeria keeps using quota to share money and build VIP toilets for lizards while neglecting the real human capacity development driven by merit. That is why in Nigeria, the teachers are unable to teach, engineers are unable to engineer anything and medical doctors are better off as paid assassins.

Nigerians citizens are the number cause of Nigerians problems!

The same governor they were hailing for building road last week! It was almost every day here news on Nairaland!
I was wondering, ROAD as in R-O-A-D! 12km ROAD!
Everyone was jumping up and down, the women even sewed uniform to celebrate.

A sane mind would wonder, "Did he build that road with his personal money?"
Do you know how much allocations these governors get? Most of them do not use up to 15% of the allocations, then they'll share maybe 3-5% for "uniform people". The rest 70 - 80% he pockets in his bag. And he's still propagated as a saint online!

Yet "uniform people" will not allow us here word. Their voice is even louder than the rest of us because of 5K naira!
How do you expect a governor to perform when you can sing praises for five thousand naira? And a bag of rice? How?!
His children are already in the best schools abroad. So he's got nothing to lose!

We are pathetic!

Truly awesome write-up. Keep it up! As for me, I have long given up on this country and its people cry

It's not government school but Catholic school. Isn't it Igbo children who attend the Catholic school?

You want access to FG schools and jobs on merit, stylishly deflecting from the issue at hand.

You're a curse to Igboland for playing politics of denial with the future of these innocent deprived kids.

The public toilets built by Aregbe are better than schools in Enugu. Shameless pigs.

Civil society group which tracks government spending, TrackaNG shared these photos of a dilapidated primary school in Enugu state despite the alleged allocation of N30million for construction of new classrooms.

The group wrote;
"We tracked the construction of a blk of 3 classrooms with VIP toilet and furniture at community primary school IhuneKwagu Akpugoni Akamu west LGA, Enugu Senatorial District, Enugu state for N30m. This project has not been implemented as the pupils sit on the bare floor to learn"

These are the lucky ones. They still have a roof over their heads. Try to visit Okpuje or Anuka or Opi-isamelu; all within Enugu state. Assuming you can reach these locations during the rainy season.
