So many of us are still asking ourselves if we can proceed with our application for Canada immigration. Although age is a priority when applying for Canada immigration, there is still an opportunity for everyone.

But still, it is important you know how your age affects your chances of been nominated for Canada Immigration. This will help you know your options and timeline.

So, If you are at least anywhere below 30 i.e. 18-30, you are most welcome to Canada. Like you are so eligible to apply. You can decide to study, work and enjoy the privileges Canada has to offer. So if you fall under this age, don’t lose this opportunity.

For 35+, you need to begin as soon as possible. Here, your points start to drop. You will either have to go through the Provincial Nominee Program or either study very well to score high in your IELTS test and have masters or doctorate degree. It is important to start immediately if you are within this age and interested to immigrate to Canada, simply because the older you get, the lower your CRS score. If you have watched our previous videos, you will have heard that Canada immigration program is a point based system. Factors like Your Age, Work Experience, Education, IELTS, Siblings in Canada are allotted scores.

For 40+, immigrating to Canada is still possible but we will be looking at you scoring very well in your IELTS. Also, your spouse will also have to take the test to boost your points in your Express Entry profile. If you still don’t meet the points for Express Entry, you will then have to go through the Provincial Nominee Program.

At 49 +, unfortunately, you don’t stand the chance. You can only come to Canada through sponsorship. Here, your children who meet the requirements will apply for Canada Immigration. When they get their PR visa, they can then sponsor you into Canada. You may ask why does age matter, well, Canada wants to bring in people who still have many more active years towards their economic advancement.

The earlier you start, the higher your chances of immigrating to Canada. Don’t wait, make use of the opportunity now. Remember your age can either be an added advantage or a disadvantage.
