The fact that it is now graduates that do internships in Nigeria shows why hope is almost lost.
If you have a chance, create jobs by opening up your biz. Imagine you using the same effort you put at work to create and develop a business!

Volunteering doesn't work in Nigeria . Last year when I graduated I applied to over 500 jobs got a volunteer position but had to be on waiting list as they were over 100 people waiting for the same position . I just forgot about what I studied and tried to volunteer in auto workshops to get a bit of automotive experience but was rejected in a lot of places and even asked to pay money in some. Thank God for the Internet and youtube . One can learn anything nowadays.

Some smart undergraduates manage to gather over two years of work experience before they graduate. I once met a graduate who had just completed his NYSC with 1 year working experience. How it happened? He made the best of his holiday periods volunteering and helping out with his family business.
