Bro, I was listening to the radio some days back and many people laid complaints about this problem just like you in Lagos.

I haven't gotten my pvc, and I'm already discouraged about getting it on two grounds:

1. The attitude of these INEC officials

2. The fact that those who want. Nigeria to remain this way are more in population and power than those who actually want things to be better for the Nigeria.

This is the kind of post that should get to the front page.. In fact, we all should start a social media rant about this. Even though it may seem too late

I did mine In Kaduna ,I stay in abuja but also reside here at times . I have to give it to them ..they are polite and so dedicated honestly ...also polite .only issue they have is that they only have one printer but they keep working even if its faulty
God bless those folks ...I attempted in abuja and its a shame that HQ is in abuja also sit of power yet just look at .

I got mine the Nigerian way, after going four consecutive times and keep getting the no185 even when I got there as early as 6:00am.. I got frustrated and almost gave up.

Until one alfar liadat told me the security man collects recharge card just to put one's name on the pre-form list as early as 5am, mehn..
na so my name enter no 3 shocked
Let's just say, I was amongst the first five who got registered on the fifth day.

You see ehn, Nigeria is a very useless country.
A country where doing the right thing would only cause you unnecessary suffer head and still make you look very stupid. I learnt to do it "the Nigerian way", I guess that's the only practical/obtainable way to get things done in this country.

Why can't inec create a website where people can fill the form then schedule a date for biometrics at INEC approved centers.

What kind of backwardness is this.

Nigeria's public service system needs a COMPLETE overhaul. The downside is that many people would lose their jobs.
They deserve to. You have to look at the big picture - there'd be more jobs in the end if things work.

I just had the same nasty experience here in Ikorodu, and this is my second time of trying to get the PVC

The first time, I got to Elepe primary school by 5:30am we were not more than fifteen but on the list there were 130 names already.

I still waited to see what will happen, the inec people came by 10:15am but I never got to do it till I left by 3:30pm
Re: My Bad Experience During Voter's Card Registration In Abuja by Firstinline(m): 3:04pm On Aug 11, 2018
Pls of anyone knows the inec office at Ikorodu, please kindly state it. Maybe I might go there to have my PVC.

So after much procrastination regarding the registration of my voter's card, i finally gave it a try today and would authoratively say it was a total waste of time and effort!

Sacrificed a supposed sleep + work hours to get mine after getting the cold warning it'll end up before next weekend.

Woke up by 5am, hurriedly went to the registration center (PW Pri sch Kubwa, Abuja. Precisely) where the registration takes place.

It's a norm to first fill a pre-form to obtain unique numbers, hence, proceed to the next phase where the main questionnaire will be issued for data entry.

I managed to get the number "142" as It was already crowded when i stormed in by few mins past 5am.

With the thought of "making sure my stay there worthwhile" i waited patiently and kept note of all that was happening around not to be left out in the dark.

Hours past, the INEC officials finally walked in at some mins to 10am.. Damn!! "This people are not serious with their jobs" i thought to myself* then i remembered the phrase *This is Nigeria* which literally shut up my instances.

NB: some folks actually spent their night in the school just to get the least numbers. (the least your number, the better chance of getting registered)

Okay, could we get started already? Yes sure! They started calling out names and their respective numbers, the first set they called where up to 70.

Gosh! These guys where super slow! It was as if they were surfing with glo network on a mid evening. Worst! they're just two of them attending to several hundreds of us.

What's the time Bro? It's past 11am! Guess what? One of the INEC system got low on power and shut down, Oh didn't i mention? There's no electricity in the school and guess what? The INEC officials don't even have a generator!

Hol'up abit bro. As concerned Nigerians where involved, a man calming asked him if he could volunteer his generator and even fuel it for him to continue the work, "No" he said, he declined! And quietly walked out majestically with the excuse of going for prayers, spent more than 3 hours leaving the innocent Nigerians standing under the sun.

This act just portray incompetence, unprofessional, lousiness and laziness instilled in them. Got me wondering their training parameter; how they ended up public servants.

Truly! Nigerians are the problems of themselves. If we regard those little effort towards humanity it'll form a collection and then widespread, thus, the country will become soft and calm for everyone.

Anyways, after so much hassle and waiting consecutively, it was almost mid afternoon and most of the yet-to-be-registered folks got tired of waiting and started leaving angrily.

People where still much though and when the INEC supervisor came in she was acquainted on the situation of things. She welcomed the idea of generator that was volunteered.

To cut the story short, only a total of 120 persons was attended to. I left there exactly 4pm we where asked to come back tomorrow morning and start a new list all over again, yeh! That's the culture.

And yes! I've lost interest in getting mine.

This is my bad experience and i regret giving it a try in the first place because I lost not just the time and the effort we stood under the hot sun for hours, not even a shade built for this course and all classes were locked up.

Please note: this is just my personal experience and not a reason you shouldn't get you pvc. This is made solely for the relevant offices to make its service more efficient and flexible for Nigerians.

Please go back there and get it even if it means paying them 5k ..I will refund whatever you pay ... Thats the plan they have to discourage you but don't give up ...if you were where I reside I would have come to escort you to make sure you get it

Go to their head office. Ask for lacasera. Buy some recharge card for him, and you'd be amongst the first 10 persons that would be attended to. You can thank me later.

if they say Naija is poo people will start complaining, So I went for my INEC office for my defaced card, the man in charge was just gisting and laughing with his friend this lasted for almost one hour, I met him the second time he then shouted at me, he did not know he just awoken the elephant in me, when matter start, he attended to me immediately, I later learnt it was just me filling a form something that did not take up to 2 minutes.

What Nigeria needs is a revolution, not an election.

Let that sink into everybody's mind.
That is not the only way my friend, yes Nigerian need revolution but we also need to change the narratives as the youth of this country. Not everything is done by violence but enough can be done with the PVC if we really want to turn things around many did it in 2015 for buhari with the media and power of social media it can still be done come 2019.

Had similar experience have gone to different places in Abuja both wuse zone 3, Karu still can't register and I heard is closing sometimes this August. You will go before 7am and meet 184 or more on the list. I guess it's a way of discouraging people, imagine missing work and still not getting pvc. And the next day it's a fresh list.
Re: My Bad Experience During Voter's Card Registration In Abuja by OtunbaJ: 3:41pm On Aug 11, 2018
Well I went for mine around 7am and got registered at around 2:30pm. Least I forget, everybody that got registered drop #200. Now the target for the day was 250 people after last no. was issued they stop given no. u are to come back the next day. Now the mathematics (200×250= Ans× 6days) lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed. That's how it happens everywhere, majority of the peoples that have the least number usually being given by jobless grassroots politicians. I had to followed the path to get mine done.

Good day sir, well my candid advice to you is that you should find time and Go to karu at the inec office there and get it done ,without hasstle and wasting of time I did mine there and I have collected as well. I will say you try that place you do not have to go there as early as 5am just try and be there by 8am and the resume on time there as well thank you.

And after doing that, will he also go all the way to Karu to vote on election day? Considering the restrictions on movement!

Nigeria isn't even up to a Third World country, Nigeria is in the lowest bracket of the most underdeveloped, failed states in the world. Very very useless country.

That's why anytime I see these overweight bastards who prance around claiming to be government officials moving around in Range Rovers, Mercedes, Land cruisers, etc in long siren blaring convoys, I feel like bombing them all. They all deserve nothing but a painful death.

Buhari is a scam! I remember years back, it's done in wards but now you travel far and wide to register!

People even had to pay money to take number!

Some pay 1000+ for one reason or the order!

Nigerians really wants to exercise their rights but government is making it really difficult!

It's a shame!

Infact ,Nigeria supposed to still b under British rule, we are not mature to govern ourselves.
It is very frustrating to get sth that is as simple as voters card.
I registered last year June in calabar and was given temporary voter's card which cannot b used to vote.
I went to inec office get my permanent voter's card on Tuesday and my name can't b found on d list sent from Abuja for permanent card after l av waited under d sun for 3 hours b4 they even attended to me.
Buhari and his lnec brother has started rigging 2019 election by disenfranching many eligible voters from the south

So sorry about your experience, weekends are the only time people have time to come and register hence the crowd. I must commend Rocha's for the 2day holiday for this exercise. But you guys should have complained to the supervisor how slow the process is, the need for a generator set for a steady power supply and shade from the scorching sun. Please endure the inconvenience and do well to get your PVC.
