What Really Matters

Galatians 6:11-15

Let's digress a little, by comparing football with Christian life / race in this context.

In football what counts is how many goals one were able to score as a player, and the matches / trophies a team were able to win. Ball possession, accurate passes and the number of passes completed becomes worthless when a team fails to win the match.

In like manner, Some believers do give much attention to their denomination, dogma, their post and duties in their various Churches, than upholding to what Salvation / Christianity entails, but neither are we saying that all these are not worth considering but it shouldn't be prioritize over what really matters.

But then, what does Apostle Paul really want us to understand by saying that "whether having been circumcised or uncircumcised amount to nothing. What really count is whether one has been transformed into new creation" ( in the nature of Christ ).

This means that whatsoever one might be seeing as an art of righteousness, apart from being changed from one's old nature ( old lifestyle ) into newness of life that comes through Christ, amount to nothing.

in verbatim, what should give much concern to anyone answering a Christian, is whether he / she has been transformed into a new nature in Christ Jesus, for the bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new".

Have you really been possessed by this newness of life, are you really living in it?
