No regard for constituted authorities in this country again. Corruption without impunity is the order of the day.

This is my worry in this country, we will not x-ray the content of issue but quick to appeal to calamitous sentiment!!! Imagine the brazen sleaze going on in this state and some people are here cursing and abusing the efcc for doing their job? Truly we have a long way to go.

hector:

shut the fxck up and stop spewing trash.

Should Akwa Ibom continue to hand over their state funds to people who're not from there?

Akwa Ibom has 90% unemployment. Akwa Ibom people are the poorest people in Nigeria. Don't you think if these monies are used to setup factories, that it will help the poor people in that state?

Should Yoruba lawyers benefit from Akwa Ibom monies, instead of Akwa Ibom people? Are yoruba states giving their monies to lawyers from Akwa Ibom state or from Sokoto state?

Why should it be okay for Akwa Ibom to do this?

Why are you so afraid of the truth?

It was also gathered that one of the accounts which was opened on March 16, 2016 had a huge deposit record on March 14, 2016.

How does the above make sense?

Very clear. They deposited many billions in March 2016 and looted it.They are reflating that account to blood again.

The precedence being set by Jonathan before it was truncated would have been worse than what's currently going on. Jonathan allowed for stealing, whether you're APC or PDP, you are allowed to still, which was at the detriment of common man. Buhari and his government are no saint. They are worse but not as worse as Jonathan and his cronies. To see a government that can balance things up, whether or not you're in his party will certainly be an herculean task, and hence we are left to chose between the devil and the lesser devil. For now, I stick with witchunting rather than not hunting anything at all. kiss

You, my friend, on the other hand, are not sincere with yourself.
uncle if eventually they witch hunt every one into their party what be the fate of the Nation? what be the fate of Democracy without opposition?

Why does Nairaland make you swear to comment on Islamic posts but does not have any requirement to comment on Christian posts? Slowly a revolution will start. All forms of oppression both on and off Nairaland must cease.
Fair policy it is. It has worked to effectively check hypocrites and other useless people who would resort to insulting prophet muhammad, Muslims and their religion for no reason. Since no muslim will ever insult jesus there is no cogent reason to place an impediment before them if they wished to comment on Christian forums.

Akwa Ibom State Government

Press Release

RE: EFCC traces Akwa Ibom’s N1.4b to 11 accounts

The attention of the Akwa Ibom State Government has been drawn to a publication on the Nation Newspaper of August 12,2018 alleging that N1.4b belonging to Akwa Ibom State Government was traced to 11 Accounts by the Economic Financial & Crimes Commission (EFCC).

We wish to state that this a false allegation and a desperate face saving effort by the EFCC to justify the unlawful freezing of accounts of the Akwa Ibom State Government which attracted widespread public condemnation.

The Akwa Ibom State Government has served notices of contempt to the EFCC and would not be dragged into a public discuss on a matter that is patently sub judice.

This matter is before the Federal High Court Uyo.

Commissioner of Information and Strategy

I have never seen a people so stupid, self-destructive and inferior like those ruling Akwa Ibom State.

There is no state in Nigeria where monies of the state are handed over willy-nilly to lawyers who're not from that state. Most states' monies are spread to citizens of the state. But in Akwa Ibom, it seems non-indigenes of the state benefit the most from that states' funds.

The people of Akwa Ibom MUST rise up and stop this anamoly, otherwise, their wealth and welfare will continue to be handed over and stolen by yoruba SANs.

The Ijaws stopped this nonsense. It is time Akwa Ibom stop giving their monies to people from other states, and instead use it to develop the state.
