A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF SHALL NOT STAND

Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand (Matt 12:25).

The above verse is among the statements made by Jesus that when I read or hear someone quote I panic. This statement tells me that many people are towing the path of destruction. Because the division Jesus mentioned is found right in Christendom today.

There are numerous Christian fellowships around us, which have divided Jesus Christ into molecules per their doctrines. The division will not have been an issue if their doctrines from each division correlate with the word of God. But as the churches have their different names, so do their doctrines connotes different teachings and meanings.

This presupposes that God is divided among Christians. But God is one and indivisible. That is why Jesus said in John 10:30 that, I and my Father are one. Malachi 3:6 reads for I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

So if God is one and does not changed, but today we have different churches in the name of God with different doctrines, then it means that the children of God have been consumed to destruction and my panic is justified. Therefore the god of Christians today is consumed due to division among them and their kingdom would not stand.

Therefore, with their division, salvation cannot be found in any of the churches widely spread across the globe, neither could its leaders be claimed righteous. They are all confused and do not understand the God they serve. Rom 3:11-12 says there is none (church) that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does what is good, no, not one.

Hence, if a person profess that a church is good and is of God, then that person should be able to tell whether that church’s doctrine has been of help to take away his or her sins. But if you enter a church and you are asked to work for you salvation based on principles of the Law of Moses, as to do this and not that, then brother or sister you are at the wrong place. Jesus said He came to has fulfill the Law for all who believer, so what is left for you to do again. This is a mystery you should know.

When we look at all the surrounding churches, we only see the congregation of sinners. But the house of God is not the place of evil doers. That was why Jesus drove away traders in the Temple to keep the place clean, but today we have people trading sin in churches which they often beg for.

These churches do not replicate the house of God where saints gather. They have divide God in their confusion as to what the truth of God is all about. How could they stand firm as separate sets of a unitary set? They have fallen from glory and as our scripture reading says, they cannot stand.

In a church where members are made to ask for forgiveness of sins, there is no salvation there and God does not dwell in there. That is why there are always conflicting views among members and those that could not absorb the heat cut off, to form their own churches. So they have all cut off from the glory of God as mentioned in Rom.3

God is Holy and does not dwell in filthy places, so places (churches) where people gather and called themselves sinners awaiting forgiveness are broken homes. They have separated themselves from the Church of God and are outside the Holiness of God. Rev 22:15 says for outside the city are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever love and make a lie.

Therefore churches of today have been cut off from the Church of God due to their lack of understanding of the word of God. Some of them give reasons for separating on the grounds that there were different churches after the death of Christ. This is a not true. There were groups of people who assemble in different locations to share the Good News given through Jesus Christ. All the various groups were named after their localities and teaches the same massage about Christ.

In the past we have the Romans, Galatians, Corinthians, Philippians, and so on grouped together per their languages culture and location. They were all given the same massage about Jesus. But instead of haven the same churches today according to street names, like church of Achimota, Kasoa, Alajo, Adum, Kejetia, Atonsu, Danyame, and the likes due to distance and language barriers teaching the same Gospel, we now have door to door churches where people invite others and tell them come and you will see God. Jesus said we should not follow after such people because God is in your heart not in a church (Luke 17:21-24).

This tells us that churches of today are leading people to destruction. God is not divided to have division among His people. It is time people reason well for themselves. A Church of God is a place where believers (righteous) gather. So if a church has members who call themselves sinners, then that church is not of God. Such a church is an unbelievers (dead souls) church that is why they always pray for forgiveness of sins. Mark 12:27 said God is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living.

The living here means people who are righteous. Sinners are not righteous, they are living in the flesh and are dead in spirit. Simply put, the reward of sin is death, so if you are a sinner, you dead. There is no righteous person in the hell. So how could there be a dead person (sinner) in the house (church/kingdom) of God. This represents the churches of today, because of their division and imbalance in teaching the word of God, they have divided God and have fallen from salvation.

When we read Luke 24:5 the two Engels at the tomb of Jesus said unto Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, why seek ye the living among the dead? So today if we have people who are trooping in and out of dead churches in search for life, how can they be save? Can the dead give life?

It is important to note that, in a church where its members request for prayers for forgiveness has divided Christ into His words and works. They say that God has promise to save them but do not believe that the works of Jesus are sufficient to save them. But they do forget that their prayers for forgiveness cannot save them. Heb. 9:22 said sins are forgiven by pouring of blood and not prayers, except sacrifice which was being practice and accomplished by Jesus as recorded in Heb. 10:1-10.

There is no salvation in these divided churches because God is a set of hidden inseparable wisdom in WATER, BLOOD and SPIRIT (1 John 5:6- which the churches have in their own canal understanding separated into individual units. Practically, if a branch is cut from a tree, it means the branch is dead. That make the churches dead per their one sided doctrines that cannot save.

So if churches are focusing on the Blood of Jesus and the Holy Spirit forgetting about the Water which is the root on which the Blood and the Spirit stands, then the doctrine of the churches are dead. Therefore if a church is focusing on either, the Holy Spirit, the Water Baptism of Jesus or Blood of Jesus, and not all at a time, then that church is serving an incomplete Jesus.

Jesus Christ is a three in one being, as 1 John 5:6 states this is He that came by WATER and BLOOD, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the SPIRIT that bear witness, because the Spirit is truth. So you can’t call yourself a Christ follower (Christian) whilst you don’t believe in all three pillars of Jesus Christ.

Therefore for a church to stand as a church of God, its doctrine should cover these three pillar Gospel. Anything either than this renders a church false. This is how the pillars are interpreted and correlated.

WATER. This stands for the Baptism of Jesus Christ which takes away all the sins of the world (Matt. 3:14-17, John 1:29) and it replaced the laying of hands of the heads of animals for transfer of sins from human beings to the animals in the Old Testament Atonement System (Lev 16:21) once and for all (1 Peter 3:18).


BLOOD. The reward of sin is death (Rom. 6:23) so after laying hands on the head of the animal in the Old Testament Atonement System to transfers man’s sins unto the animal, it is killed and blood used to atone for the sins of man. So after John the Baptist laid his hands on the head of Jesus Christ to transfer all the sins of the world (past, present and future) unto Him (Jesus), His BLOOB was shed for our sins once and for all(1 Peter 3:18).


SPIRIT. 1 John 5:6 say and it is the SPIRIT that bear witness, because the Spirit is truth. Jesus accepted our baptism and death to give us life, so the Holy Spirit raised Christ from the dead after witnessing that our sins were put on Jesus to death so that we will not remain with the dead but be with God forever. (Rom 4:25). Eph. 2:6 says and He (Holy Spirit) has raised us up together, and made us sit together in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

So if a church is established without all the pillars above, then that church is not of God, because its members will not have the faith that, their sins were taken by Jesus in His Baptism (WATER) onto Death (BLOOD) and the HOLY SPIRIT raised Him to life eternally.

If Jesus was Baptized to take our sins and Died for such, are we not the reason why He resurrected? So if you are a Christian and you understand this, you will know that you are not a sinner because Jesus Christ has saved you forever.

It is important for everyone to divide him/herself into flesh and spirit (1 Cor. 12:11, 15:44) rather than dividing God in practices of manmade theologies.

Lack of the knowledge about who Jesus Christ is and the value of what He did is the cause of the numerous churches surrounding us. Almost all are focusing on the Blood of Jesus and Holy Spirit and wrongly taking the Water Baptism as their own baptism in church which only washes away bodily dirt and not their spirit (1 Peter 3:21).

We will now see that, because they are worshiping a god that is not complete, all their sins are still on them. Jesus Baptism took all sins but the churches are saying, no it is their own baptism that can save them. So every member has to be baptized. You can see clear ignorance here, baptism means wash away, and if their sins are washed away will they continue to pray for forgiveness?

It is evidenced that they were baptized in their churches to carry their individual sins waiting for crucifixion and resurrection onto salvation. But because they are blemished it is impossible to save themselves. So they have all fallen and their homes cannot stand.

To the churches out there and its members, Jesus is the one who came by WATER and BLOOD, not by water only, but by Water and Blood. And it is the SPIRIT that bear witness, because the Spirit is truth. Don’t choose from these three pillars to form your faith, the three works together and are one. Work your salvation together on all.

Also note that Jesus did not come for us to still live under the Law of Moses as is been taught. If that is true, then He died in vain because no one will be able to obey the Law. Even Moses who brought the Law was the first to break it. Jesus has set us free. Believe in the salvation works of Jesus as the one who came to take all your sins in his Baptism, Died for them and resurrected to give you eternal life.

Remember if your faith is not founded on the Water Baptism of Jesus Christ, His Death and Resurrection, then you home is divided and cannot stand. AMEN.
