Being jealous in a romantic relationship tends to weaken the bond you share with your partner.

At first it might seem beautiful, but after awhile, you'll probably see the negative aspects of it and may result to having a breakup, which is not so cool enough. The fact that your partner is jealous doesn't mean you should break up with him..Nah!!

Some people have trust issues due to past relationships or breakups, and it's so possible to work through these problems together if both partners are committed to trying.

At first, it's better to figure out why your partner is feeling jealous, especially if you haven't given them a reason to mistrust you.

In addition to this, there are two kinds of jealously you should be aware of; Unhealthy and Healthy jealously. Healthy jealously is when someone allows this emotion to encourage them to make them a better person in some way. For instance, if your friend is a little jealous about you being a successful entrepreneur, they might want to emulate you and also achieve great things.

But if your Partner is being overly aggressive and trying to control what you are doing, then that is considered to be unhealthy. If your partner is the jealous type, why not try working out things with him/her, work things out by fixing your issues.
Doing this might give them a reassurance that there's no need to carry that emotion around in the relationship, it can also create a closer bond between the both of you.

If your partner is getting jealous lately, here are some key points to help you work with them without stress.

KP NO 1. Talk About Your Partner's Fears

If your partner's jealously is really affecting the relationship, the best thing to do at the moment is to sit them down, and ask questions.

Don't just assume. I was talking to a friend sometimes last week, about how dreadful assumptions could be. Assumptions could ruin your relationship, could ruin what you've been committed to all the years.

Ask your partner, and while he/she is trying to make a point, always ensure you listen and pay good attention. Don't be afraid to express how their actions make you feel. Be free and open with your partner.

KP NO 2. Don't Get Defensive with words.

If your partner starts to accuse you of something that's not true, don't feed the fire by adding more petrol, avoid getting in an argument right away.

Take a step back and evaluate the situation frim different perspectives. Once you start being defensive with words, your partner might misinterpret your reaction, weigh your actions and words, and this may even get them angry the more.

In building a stronger bond between you and your partner, settle the fear that your partner has, give them an assurance, that you would stay and never leave them...while they are angry...plant a kiss on their lip and relieve them of the emotions.

If you are considering ending the relationship, though, for whatever reason, this may be the time to be open and direct about that as well.
