How to Use Hair Mask to Keep Your Hair Soft

Using Coconut Oil Mask
One of the best natural oil that can get moisture and life back into your hair is coconut oil. Coconut oil can thoroughly nourish your hair making it soft and shiny.

To start warm some cup of coconut oil and then massage it evenly through your hair and scalp.

Leave it on for about an hour and then rinse the hair out with lukewarm water once you have allowed the coconut oil to sit.

Make sure to hang a towel around your shoulders when applying the coconut oil as it can stain clothing and linens.

If you consider making an even deeper treatment for your hair then you might want to put on a shower cap and use a blow dryer to dry your hair. The heat from the blow dryer will help the oil to go deeper into your hair.

Using Honey, Olive Oil and Egg Mask

Olive oil is a rich natural moisturizer that smoothens and brings shine to your hair. Honey contains antioxidant that has similar effects to make your hair super soft and shiny.

Crack one 1 egg into 3 tablespoons of olive oil and honey each. Turn and mix till it turns creamy.

Apply to damp hair by massaging thoroughly into your scalp, from the roots to end of your hair.

After 20 minutes to 1 hour, then rinse out with very cool water and shampoo. Add conditioner if necessary.

There are other protein mask mixtures you can also use for your hair. For example some use yogurt or buttermilk in place of egg.

Others use add avocado in place of honey and olive oil. This ingredient works well in moisturizing a dry and brittle hair.


Using a Banana & Honey Mask
A combination of banana and honey contains natural vitamin, healthy oils and antioxidants that can get your hair extra smooth, shiny and silk.

Mix two tablespoons of aloe vera gel with one teaspoon honey and olive oil each.

Massage the mask evenly through a wet hair and leave it to sit for about 20 minutes before rinsing it out.

Extra Tips In Keeping Your Hair Soft
Suck Up Excess Water

To enable your hair suck up some more nutrients when massaging it with conditioner keep the hair dryer.

After your regular shampoo, wrap the hair with towel for about twenty minutes to dry it a bit before you add conditioner.


Don’t Rinse All the Conditioner Out Of Your Hair

Stop Using the Blow Dryer
The blow dryer in common usage can do more harm for your hair than you think. If you care about keeping your soft, silky hair then let your hair dry in the air.

Yea, the blow dryer may seem faster but it dries out your hair every time you use it. If you must use the blow dryer make sure to set the temperature low and use a diffuser. That way your hair won’t get too damage by heat.


Stop Rubbing Your Hair Dry With a Towel
To keep your hair going in the best condition, you need to take some important precautions.

For instance, when you take your bath, the hot water easily weakens your hair and trying to dry it with a towel only get blot your hair.

The best way is to dry your hair with a T-shirt which easily absorbs and dry the hair and won’t so much damage.

Don’t over-wash your hair
It is very easy to want to wash your hair often to keep it neat, but over-washing our hair can have a negative effect. It can reduce the hair’s natural oils make it lose its shine and softness.

Over-shampooing your hair will only make it dry and brittle, thus leading to more hair breakage.

Unless you have a naturally oily hair, you don’t need to wash constantly.

Washing it twice in a week can be enough for the greatly improve the texture of your hair.
