A chieftain of APC and a House of Representatives aspirant, Barrister Benjamin Kalu has described the destroying of his Billboards as 'childish and cheap show of desperation'. Kalu also fingered a particular opposition party thugs as those behind the dastard act after they experienced internal crisis not long time ago.

Igbere TV gathered that Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu's Billboards and Osinbajo's Billboards were also destroyed in Abia state by the suspected thugs.

Speaking exclusively in a chat with Igbere TV correspondent, Benjamin Kalu revealed that they are still gathering more information and will present them to security agencies in order for those behind the act to be arrested as that will serve as deterrent to others.

"It is better to say nothing and do something. But suffice that to say that for the sake of my supporters who may need answers, I need to mention that A particular political party after destroying their bill boards owing to their internal crisis (zoning) have proceeded to attack APC and President Buhari/ Osibanjo’s bill boards all over Bende Federal Constituency. "

" We are law abiding citizens and destruction of properties is against our laws. Therefore, the DSS, Police and other security agencies will not allow the President’s Bill boards and that of the APC members to be violently destroyed after building all the new roads in Abia and assisting the Abia State Governor at various quarters, without doing something about it . Am sure even the Chief Security officer of Abia State will frown at this and investigate this childish cheap show of desperation ."

"It is time certain persons got questioned by the security agencies . We have the primary suspects listed including a police man recently working with one of the aspirants and his master among others will be invited soon to clear themselves . We are still gathering the intelligence."

"APC is now a strong brand and we will win the next election without bill boards, but can they do without bill boards? The lives we are touching , the roads we are fixing, the school children we are daily feeding, the women we gave the job to cook for them, the jobs we have created, the new major federal appointments we have gotten for Bende people among others are better than any beautiful bill boards because it lives in their hearts."

Are you also aware that Umuhu road will start working soon? I can go on and on. Still working on he approval for Itumbauzo road and erosions. All these within the two years we joined the APC."

"Bende people know the truth about which of their sons they will send to the market and he will return home with the expected goodies. My APC team will bring back what Bende needs and there is no stoping us but we are determined to stop the bad representation that has hindered us so far."

"The perpetrators should have been wiser to know it was a wrong move to destroy President Buhari’s , Vice President Osibanjo’s , Dr Orji Uzor Kalu’s and Benjamin Kalu’s Bill boards. What a show of weakness? We shall not retaliate for that’s not what good leaders do, we will allow the law to take its course . After all, we were first brothers before we became politicians. He laughed it off and said we will get the perpetrators as politicians who are on ground and they will name their masters."
