However, after the announcement on Tuesday, several Nigerians took to social media to expressed their happiness toward the decision of Nigeria’s acting president Prof.Yemi Osinbajo to shut down the notorious police unit, after over eight months of outcry among Nigeria.

According to one Twitter observer Mr. Fix Nigeria, who takes us on a journey of what we can be described as a clarification for total confusion on who should we truly give kudos to between Buhari & Osinbajo for total overhaul of SARS.

Based on the findings of the Nigerian Twitter user, Nigeria's President Buhari has already ordered his vice-president Osinbajo to look into the restructuring of the anti-robbery squad SARS, about 2 months ago before the announcement of Osinbajo days ago.

Yeah, Buhari was said to have asked for an overhaul of SARS unit, was it done? The answer is a capital NO, a month ago SARS were still harrasing innocent Nigerians and these were well documented on social media. Even the police spokesman was telling us that SARS were doing a good job. The difference is Osibanjo gave marching orders to the IG to curtail their activities, made it known to all and sundry that this is what he has asked the IG to do,detailing specific action he wanted taken on the matter. So there wasn't any ambiguity. Even though I still saw them in their little vans around Lagos metropolis today, but they are now fully identifiable.

have you seen people who are hypocritical enough to tell you they hate Buhari, but love Osinbajo? They deserve this kind of thread.

People are too amnesiac in this country. If not, how can people forget Buhari ordered total overhaul of SARS and the IG gave some directives to that effect then.

How can people forget that osinbajo himself came out to tell Nigerians that Buhari gave an order on sars overhaul?

Have they also forgotten that osinbajo said he was consulting with the president before taking decision whenever he's away ?
