The statement noted: “Oro worshippers are deliberately looking for trouble. Chapter 4 Section 41 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) says, ‘Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part thereof, and no citizen of Nigeria shall be expelled from Nigeria

If I may ask, why do churches and mosques block some highways during services?

Are traditional worshippers at low cadre of the society? If the government has remained mute to excesses of some churches and mosques, why should traditional religion be treated otherwise?

And there goes this useless terrorist again.

Muslims should preach against people like this useless man in South West before he starts unnecessary tension.

If Oro declared restrictions of movement, do they have the government backing to enforce such curfiew..

It's disgusting we have people like this amongst Yorubas.

But, when do the traditionalists have their own public holiday? Because we were taught that there are three types of religion in Nigeria which traditional religion is one of them. Christians and Muslims get their holiday, why not traditionalists. Just curious

Bro are you a Yoruba man at all?

Have you lived in the southwest before?

if you can answer the questions stated above properly, then you will realize that we have always found ways to tolerate eachother before now.

The oro festival cannot be for the whole day, the Muslims can also do their shopping a day before to avoid unnecessary confrontations.

More importantly, the Muslims must have known what the isese festival entails by now because they are no strangers to Osun state.

people really comment on issues before thinking through!
21st is Sallah, curfew was declared on 20th. When do you expect people that are travelling from all over the country to move to arrive their destination before 20th? Or people that need to pass through the state to get to their destinations? So you think it is only about shopping? If people are going to Osun for Sallah from Kano/kaduna, they will usually arrive from evening till early morning. Also travelers pass through the state to get to other part of the country. All to be stopped?
Please keep up

First of all, travelers can pass through other routes, if they so desire

Secondly, those passing through can do so, as long as they don't travel during the time slated for the oro festivals, same goes for those traveling into Osun from other destinations. In fact, the transport workers plying that route would be aware of the schedule.
