Is there anyway i can use you firmware to unlock the phone,since it has not been previously activated? I have been waiting for ages for the Dev Team to bring out an unlock for non-activated phones.

Yup! This will update the FW to 4.0 without affecting the baseband, and I have this set to activate the iPhone as well!
I just finished compiling 2 versions; File sizes are:

iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_Restore.ipsw                        -     Official iOS4 Release from Apple              -     377.9MB
iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_Custom_Restore.ipsw           -     My Custom created based on the above      -     391.5MB
iPhone2,1_4.0_8A293_Custom_Restore_with_Apps -     My Custom created based on official           -     435.9MB

I'd create a .torrent and start to seed this tomorrow, will publish at demonoid.

@ N3rve, silly question time, how come ur screenie resolution is kinda clear?
when i do screenies, i tend to either make the res small to fit 200kb or have to use an editor to reduce it, ur pwnage shot looks really clear

Lol! I just take the screenshot using the standard keys and it's stored on the desktop. I upload the image to tinypic.com and use the [nobbc][img][/nobbc] tags to display them, sometimes I use width and height attributes within the image tags.
