EFCC investigates Ekiti State's accounts, investigates Benue State accounts, investigates Akwa-Ibom State accounts, investigates Rivers accounts.

When will the EFCC investigate Lagos State accounts? When will they investigate Kaduna State accounts?

Militants CANNOT hold this country to ransom, militants don`t run this country, God does. they can never tell us Nigerians what to do or what not to do. this is so annoying, so if they don`t restructure the best way to retaliate is by killing innocent citizens? The effrontary of these men is brazen but I tell you, God lives in Nigeria and they can to nothing to effect of their threat. PMB is already doing what he can to move the nation forward but it`s quite sad that some folks are just Oliver Twist, insatiable.

One of the reasons the FG is against restructuring is because they would no longer be able to have total control of the wealth of the country, especially that of the south-south which is crude oil. That shows that they'LL are in govt not for the interest of the country, but for personal selfish interest.
You have hit the nail on the head!

They are there not for national interest but for selfish interest!

Afonjas now...the way they look at you when you attempt to tamper with their One Nigeria.

All negative posts against the militants above and below, even those posters with Igbo names are afonjas. They cleverly use Igbo names to attack militants, so that when the militants/Niger Deltans see it, they will say "oh these Igbo people are against us." to continue the division in the Eastern Region, and the circle continues...while they enjoy Niger Delta oil and huge SW allocations. You see these afonjas...they are like red snakes!
See who is talking, all of you(hausa, igbo n yuruba) are thesame your interest is to milk us the niger delta down.Igbos are likewise other regions, have nothing only using the niger delta to brag.We are wiser,no cornism go work on us.

All for their selfish interest. No difference in the state of Nigeria delta between when they started vandalizing pipeline and now they stopped. The only difference is their account grew copiously while we indigens continue struggling. Yet they assert that they're fighting for us. Egocentric cowards
Dont mind those Cowards. Just pay them 5000 Naira and watch as they they go about Oppresing their fellow Niger delta yoots with their money. They are just interested in their Bank alert to show off without lifting a finger

Militants in the Niger Delta under the auspices of the Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators have threatened fresh actions against the interest of the Nigerian government in the region if the country is not restructured.

A statement signed by the leader of the Niger Delta Watchdogs, Mr John Duku, in Uyo on Saturday noted that the threat became necessary following many anti-democratic actions by the Federal Government and the All Progressives Congress.

He said, “After carefully studying the recent political development in Nigeria in general and the Niger Delta in particular, the Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators hereby wishes to state as follows:

“We hereby condemn the recent freezing of the Akwa Ibom State Government Account by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and we view it as an act of intimidation by the agent of the Federal Government and the APC in order to weaken the smooth running of government in the Niger Delta state.

“We hereby warn the EFCC and other agents of government to desist from this act of official recklessness and breach of the constitution.”

He described as regrettable an alleged use of the EFCC as a tool to fight perceived political opponents, instead of carrying out its constitutional duties without bias as stipulated in the constitution.

“The action of the EFCC and the Federal Government is against the laid-down procedure of investigation stipulated in the EFCC Acts; the EFCC has no right or basis whatsoever to freeze any state government account. Doing so against the Akwa Ibom State Government is therefore a calculated attempt to cripple the activities of the state government, label its officials as corrupt and punish the innocent people of Akwa Ibom State. “From all indications, the attack is not on Governor Udom Emmanuel but on the good people of the state because of the personal hatred the APC-led government has for the people of the state in particular and the Niger Delta as a whole.

“We want to ask, why is it that EFCC singles out opposition states like Akwa Ibom and Benue states for this unjust act? Why are they not seeing the glaring corruption perpetrated by other state governors and other APC states?”

Duku wondered why the EFCC would not arrest suspected corrupt officials occupying positions in the Presidency.

He also reacted to the reported threat issued by Miyetti Allah against the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, saying, “We hereby condemn the recent anti-Saraki threat by Miyetti Allah leaders and describe it as treasonable. We also warn that any further attempt to attack or forcefully remove the Senate President from office shall be met with stiff resistance from the Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators and we promise that all business activities in the Niger Delta shall be completely shut down.”

The earlier Nigeria is restructred the better.

NORTHERN NIGERIA THAT IS AFRAID OF RESTRUCTURING WILL LEARN VERY SOON THAT THEY ARE FAR BETTER OFF ON AGRICULTURE THAN EVEN THE SO CALLED CRUDE OIL THAT THEY ARE DYING OVER.

This sounds good.Niger Delta can really do this if they won't be swayed by money that is surely to come in torrents. The jugular vein of Nigeria lies in their hands.Restructuring will solve more than 2/3 of Nigeria's problem. The way things are now, only the Core North is against restructuring. It can only affect them negatively only if they are lazy which I believe they are not.

What is there to present again So many quarters/region has called for restructuring but the FG has kept mute!

So they will continue from the existing protocol!
Nor mind that guy. Parasitic elements will always show themselves.
What they refused to grasp is that with this monthly allocation collection from Abuja jamboree, fight for central political power will continue and no progress will come.

We tried regionalism before. It worked far better. Western Region, despite political issues, was one of the best administered parts of Africa as a whole.
The guy wants them to write letters to Aso Rock and NASS and wait till 2035 without any reply or action. grin cheesy

The idiots at the helm of affairs are callous people and do not understand and civilised language. ND knows that too well by now.

SW do not really mean restructuring. Only some intellectuals support it but are powerless. They know the importance of it. But their alliance with the North won't let them support restructuring.

Their elites who benefit from oil subsidy and political loot and oil blocks from the centre are deceiving them.

Shinedu, what I'm not sure of is wether you are typing this from west or north. But what I'm sure of is that you are not typing it from the east. How will a human being who left his undeveloped land in search of food somewhere else be blaming his host of backwardness? If your land is as developed as you claim, biko, what are you still doing elsewhere? angry
