For me, Lagos is a sinking ship, which will collapse sooner or later. There is nothing to be proud about Lagos being the the major and only economic center of the nation. Every Tom, D!ck, and Harry heads south for a greener pastures (graduates, undergraduates, literates, illiterates, old and young, even children unborn)!

Everything with mega economic importance has a root in the center of excellence. Lagos - a state with such small land mass accommodates the highest population than any state in Nigeria. Funny enough, everywhere has unlimited resources; at the rate folks emigrate to Lagos daily, the state will get to a point where it can't allow in even a dog. Then the bubble will burst. Even if all the ports work up to fill capacity, Lagos revenues will not still take a dive too much, because the FG collects the revenues from the ports.

the NPA is not ready to invest a lot of money to upgrade some of the other ports, after all that are all there to steal

So they use the functional one they met on ground, and milk it.

Lagos is the nerve centre of Nigeria, and the conurbation should have spread into ogun state as well, but just like every where in black Africa, the leaders don't think long term at all.

There should have been multiple routes between Lagos and Ogun States, and even within Lagos, most of the goodies shouldn't have been concentrates on a small island

One of the problems with Nigeria is majority of Nigerians have low IQ, I am talking about close to 85% of Nigeria's population are mentally challenged.

Enough of the compare my solution to agriculture challenge is to set up a company with the local government having 50% control the state 30% and federal 20%. Let $2billion be withdrawn from our savings and shared equally amon all the local governments of the federation but the local government won't be given the liquid cash, the cash should be used to purchase Morden farming equipments and shared to all local government offices of the company.

The purchase process will involve sending people from all local government for training on how to maintain the new equipments and the manufacturer setting up assembly plants in all geopolitical zones.

The company is tasked with the responsibility of leasing equipments to farmers at a cost and maintaining these equipments. If a state doesn't want to farm they can partner with other states by leasing their equipment and deciding on a payment deal.

This idea is to accommodate food multiplication only.
